It was the 26 of 2012 in February when, for the first time, we heard about Winball. It presented itself as an innovative company, committed to the environment and with an innovative concept: the recycling and reuse of padel and tennis balls.

Now, two years later, his name is already a reference in our sport and there are few tournaments, companies, individuals and lovers in general of the paddle world who have not tried their personalization service of balls.

Diego Fernández, the main promoter of a project more and more consecrated and consolidated, tells us in this interview how the hard beginnings were, the great joy that has been to see the good reception from the public and the main challenges for the future … Do not miss it!!

More and more consolidated in the market and considered as a reference name, I would like to know came up with the idea of ​​betting on the Winball project.

Well, very simple. We realized that it was a reality more and more players and tennis players and paddle complained about the short duration of the balls and, faced with that situation, we decided to look for a solution. We started a path of research and development of a new industry that did not exist in Europe and, at the same time, we decided to give it design, originality and, above all, innovation. It is at this last point that I believe that a great effort has been made to ensure that we have a different and special product, such as the customization of padel and tennis balls with the logo that the client wants.

After all this time, how would you rate the acceptance that your product has had?

We are very happy. The number of clients that are getting to know us is increasing and this is demonstrated by the fact that we are growing at a great pace. So many clubs, companies and individuals request our services of recycling and personalization of balls. On the one hand, the clubs are getting more corporate image and presence on the slopes, while they can achieve better sponsors to put their logos on the balls and customize the boats. On the other hand, companies have achieved a new support for communication and sponsorship that is more direct and perhaps more effective. In the case of individuals, it is a magical feeling to be able to make so many unique dreams and moments come true ... You can not get an idea of ​​what it means for us that customers send us photos of the moment they deliver the gift of the new balls Personalized ... It's a great experience to collaborate with your clients and design with great care each logo to make it perfect.

How do you make the decision to be encouraged to undertake in such complicated times as today?

With great enthusiasm and a lot of faith in a project in which we feel great support from all over the world. From here we want to thank all those who have sent us e-mails of support, thanks and congratulations.

Have you met the objectives set?

I think there are so many dreams to be made to so many customers that we hope we never achieve our goals ... What we want is that we are always as excited as we are today. I want to value the enormous effort that our distributors make every day. From here, serve these letters to thank them for their work and dedication. How big they are !!

How many points of sale do you have and in how many Autonomous Communities are you present?

Currently we are in all of Spain, including the Canary Islands and the Balearic Islands. Through our distributors, any customer can access their orders easily and, very soon, it can also be done directly from our website. We are preparing a new project because there are many people who want to collaborate with us and we will give the option to work at all, since they will be able to become official ambassadors of Winball Sport, work in the sport they like the most and, above, make money with it.

For those who do not know it yet, what are the main qualities and benefits of your product?

Well, to start, all users can buy, from 23 euros, 3 boats of new balls of quality paddle, with the logo or logos you choose, with the color you want, without minimum purchase and with personalization of boat, cliché, vectorization of the logo, postage and VAT included. How was that, "TO PAGAO" ... Also, when those balls or those of other brands are without pressure and are no longer used, we recycle and repress again, for only 1 € all inclusive. With this we refer to the collection, delivery, VAT, everything ... And in a pressurized boat again.

What kind of public would be especially recommended?

For the variety of services, of course, no type of client would be left out of what we offer. We go from big clubs to that user who wants only 3 boats. As I mentioned, the clubs are corporatized and get more and better sponsors, so they save money. Companies also become more visible in clubs and tournaments because their image is in the hands of customers when they play. Any user can buy 3 boats, or those who want, with a price always market ... And take it home!

What is your star product or service?

Well I would say that personalization generates moments of happiness while recycling gives a social and economic benefit ... The truth is that we would not know which one we like the most.

What are the main companies or familiar faces that have bet on Winball?

Companies such as Vodafone, Movistar, BMW, El Corte Inglés, Porsche, large pharmaceutical companies, Radio Marca ... Also big clubs and, above all, large users unknown to the newspapers but, perhaps, are more important to us.

Looking forward to this 2014, can we expect any surprise on your part?

Yes. Hopefully we can soon teach something that is being much in demand by many customers. Can you imagine being able to personalize the rainbow in a ball with all its colors or the desired logo in multicolor? Well, be very attentive to our social networks because it will be incredible.

What do you expect from the future of padel?

More professionalism in clubs and individuals. It is necessary to offer different and innovative services and I think that there are very good options that, little by little, are being introduced ... Users must be trained but not only in how to hit the shovel but also in how to train our mind not to fail and be very strong on a psychological level. We must also create a great family within each paddle club, association or peña. I consider it essential that sponsors, written press, TV and radio increasingly put more spots on our sport because I think there is an unquestionable reality ... Every night, in each city or town, the sport that moves the most users is paddle tennis and that is must notice. Neither football, nor tennis, swimming, basketball, etc., moves so many people and the best thing is that they are both women and men, boys, girls and adults. We are no longer a booming sport; we are a reality of sport that is consolidated every day.

What message would you like to convey to fans of this sport?

Well, very simple, to continue having fun every day, to train very hard and, above all, to get it out x3 ... hehehe.
