The first edition of a reference competition is still under way, in which all the details have been taken care of to the maximum and in which, despite the great professionalism of their organization, work has been done to ensure that the playful component of the padel is never lose Closer and closer to its final stages, it is time to continue meeting some of the protagonists of an event unprecedented in the region.

Padel World Press .- Thanks to the Organizing Committee of SLP Guadalajara, we can continue to present to the 32 captains male and female teams that make up the 1st Edition of a league that is giving much to talk about.

On this occasion, we will meet the heads of Chiloeches (2ªA), Nuevo Tenis A (1ª B) and Team Meidane (1ª B).

What is the name of your team and what category does it belong to?

Chiloeches: Chiloeches, team that plays in 2ªA.

New Tennis A: New Paddle A Guadalajara, 1ª B.

Team Meidane: Team Meidane, 1ª B.

How did you meet the Padel League for Teams of Guadalajara?

Chiloeches: The school coordinator was part of the creation and development of the league.

New Tennis A: I myself, captain and manager of Nuevo Tenis and Pádel Guadalajara, participated in the creation.

Team Meidane: We already participated in the previous one last year and we were waiting for the announcement of this one. When it was called, we knew it from the club where we played regularly, FairPlay.

Question for the whole team: How has your experience in the league been so far? What clashes or what rivals that you have faced have been more 'hard'?

Chiloeches: The experience is being very rewarding. It is very fun to get together every weekend, a group of friends to be able to play against another different team. We enjoyed throughout the week. From the 'pre-call' at the beginning to the encouragement and congratulations after the matches. The matches of the league are being, in general, fairly even. Most of the days are decided with an 2-1 for or against, so all the 'rivals' are being tough.

New Tennis A: In our case we noticed more the difference that Chiloeches, we are more uneven in this first edition.

Team Meidane: They have all been tough rivals, as they have all left their skin on the track, which complements the lack of technique very well (that's our philosophy). In our category, which is not about 'professionals', it depends a lot on the combinations of couples that are established in each match, and maybe one day you can lose with a Club that later you win 3-0 ... The important thing is to maintain the illusion and confidence in your team.

Experience in the league so far, how is it being?

Chiloeches: The experience of the League at the team level has been great! We have formed a great group in which we include several levels of play, but in which none is more than their partner. We all play, we all enjoy, we all cheer, we all laugh ...

New Tennis A: Very good experience!

Team Meidane: Being a team of friends who like paddle tennis, this experience is being very rewarding as it helps us to further strengthen our relationship. That is something that in the end is noticeable on the track with the rivals.

What expectations and objectives do you set as a team? Are there possibilities for promotion / winning the category?

Chiloeches: Our main objective in this league, as in any paddle game we play, is to enjoy and try to do what we know. If we leave the track satisfied and having enjoyed, regardless of the result, we have already achieved our goal. As for the results ... Sometimes you win and other times you learn, therefore, we always carry something positive in our backpack to discuss with our colleagues to keep moving forward. Our philosophy is fixed on enjoying day by day and doing what we know. At the end of the calendar we will see where we are.

New Tennis A: With staying where we are, it's worth ... Let's see if we get it! (laughs)

Team Meidane: Our goal is to upload 1-A. That is our challenge and we are not satisfied with less than that ... We are convinced of achieving it and we work to achieve it.

Summary of the last game played

Chiloeches: Unfortunately, the last day was suspended due to rain when the matches were already advanced. We played in two shifts. The first game was being fairly even, in which the two couples were testing each other. The track was very fast because of the humidity so the points were quite short and at four it was difficult to adapt to the rhythm of the ball imposed by the couple with service. He stopped with 6-5 in the first set and took off to go to the tie break. In the second game, Chiloeches' partner acclimated better to the track than the opposing couple and they were able to develop their game. By suspending the match, they were set up. The second turn could not be contested.

New Tennis A: An annoyance, because it rained and we had to suspend the meeting when it was being very disputed.

Team Meidane: Our last game was against Cabanillas, who had beaten us 2-1 in their field. We were hungry for victory and we needed it to keep us up for promotion and not lose our grip. The day before they warned us that a WO was possible on their part, since it was difficult for them to present 1 of the couples at the time and day of our club. The person in charge of Cabanillas spoke with us and we did everything possible to play all the games, we did not want to win in the 'offices' (and that the points would be very good for us). With this background, the expectation was served, we had to go all out. We had to celebrate the first game very early for some (and being a Saturday, almost at dawn, at 09:15 in the morning). Then it turned out to be the crucial match and the one that aroused the most excitement among the spectators of both clubs. The meeting lasted until the third set, with two tie-breaks… The voices of encouragement for both couples are still heard on the walls of the club. Colorful and lively party. We won from a penalty in the last minute… But at no time (well, there was a moment of crisis) did we lose confidence.

The rest of the games had a more serene route, with less tight victories for our team, with a global result of 3-0 for Team Meidane. We placed ourselves first in the category and it keeps us with the hope of climbing on top, in addition to positioning ourselves in the 'unofficial' ranking of players in the first places.

The summary is always similar: a good way to spend a weekend morning, practicing sports, in good company and with the peace of mind that on the track 'the enemy does not even have water' ... When the game ends, 'with the enemy beers. ' In other words, we finished as usual, celebrating the victory and crying the defeat all together, winners and losers with some beers in the club that gives shelter to our team, the fabulous FairPlay.

Finally, what reasons would you give other players / teams to encourage them to join the League?

Chiloeches: Reasons? Sports, fun, group, camaraderie, meeting new people ... If it is also organized in this way (web, raffles, parties ...), what more could you ask for?

New Tennis A: Above all, highlight the good vibes and play with different people. These are the strongest points in favor.

Team Meidane: There are many reasons, but I would tell them that if they like paddle tennis, 'healthy' competition, improving themselves and have a group of friends / acquaintances who like this sport (surely there are in their usual club) ; that they dare to challenge those of the League. That they participate, that the challenge will help them to contrast their game with people different from those who play regularly. This will help them improve their technique and level of play and that if they manage to form a 'nice' team, the good vibes of it will be a balm to counteract the effects of some bad weeks that we all have. A beer with some friends at the club heals everything ... Win or lose.

From the Organizing Committee of SLP Guadalajara thanked these two captains for their collaboration and assured us that ... Soon we will have more interviews!
