Only a few months after uniting your roads, and after having achieved good results, you and Chiqui have put an end to your adventure. When and why did you make the decision to separate?
Last week I was presented with the opportunity to play alongside one of the great players of this sport and I think I could not let it pass.
Ready to face a new stage, you will become Jordi Muñoz's new partner… How did the possibility of joining your paths come about?
To me, Jordi has always seemed a great player and with a brutal experience. He told me he liked my game a lot, so we talked about starting a project together.
Jordi is a player with great talent and a lot of experience. What do you think it can bring you and what can you contribute to it?
Well, what he will give me, I think you have said: talent and experience. I believe that I can give him power and enthusiasm since I am a player who has not achieved anything yet… I really want to.
When he lives in Malaga, how will you get to know and complement each other on the track?
It is already common for him to come to Madrid to train several days a week… So the idea is to continue down that path.
Like every new project, you will surely start it with great enthusiasm… What do you hope to achieve together with Jordi?
The first objective should be to couple as a couple. I would love to fight to enter the 8 best pairs of the WPT Ranking.
It's been a few months of many changes… Your arrival at Vision was recently confirmed… What made you bet on that brand?
Vision is a renowned brand and was always at the top of the paddle with players like Juan Martín Díaz, Sanyo ... I think that being in a firm with this experience can help me to climb positions and improve in my game.
What spade model will you play with and what do you like most about it?
I have 2 models that I like that are the Orkka 1.5 and Xiam 1.5. With the two models I find myself very comfortable and it is difficult for me to decide on one of them.
Your coach, Adrián Caviglia, has told us that you never stop surprising him day after day ... What has Adri given you since you put yourself at his command?
All. He is the first coach I have and how well or badly I owe him. I have full confidence that Adri. He knows what he does and I think that is the most important thing to be able to absorb the information he gives you and apply it. In addition, off-track we fit very well, which makes it easier to do so too.
Player who goes more season after season, what is the dream or the goal that you would like to fulfill in the world of paddle tennis?
The dream is clear that it is to become the 1 number. I think all of us who are playing have the same and it is clear that most will not get it, but that is the beauty of this world. That competition Get my dream or not, I know that I am trying my best and that works for me. Pete Sampras in a "letter to his youngest self" says: don't be overwhelmed looking forward, the real prize is the way. I try to keep it always in mind.
