Thanks to the companions of Vibor-A we know some of those stories of paddle that we like so much, of which they make us go back to the origins and the first steps of the great stars of this sport. What unites Maxi Grabiel and Ramiro Moyano with the 'Clan de Los Chascomús'?

Padel World Press .- Year 1990. La Loma neighborhood, in the Argentine city of La Plata ... At that time, the paddle virus infected the Grabiel saga. As they tell us since the signing of the snake, at the end of that same year a friend of the family opened a club called 'El Galpón'.

It would be on its concrete tracks where Maxi Grabiel, his brother Diego and Patricio Mongán, an inseparable cousin, took the first blows in a discipline that was already all the rage in Argentina at that time ... Second cousins were also regulars at those first matches of the Grabiel: Claudio Fabián Moyano and Marisa Toledo. What do those surnames sound like to us?

A baby named Ramiro Moyano Toledo, curled up in a bassinet, began to perceive that his life was going to be closely linked to the paddle tennis courts ... Years later, in 1998, the young Ramiro saw his uncle Maxi Grabiel play for the first time. At that time, he was the partner of one of the historical names in this sport: Roby Gattiker.

It may seem curious, but Rami still remembers that meeting as if he had just witnessed it: "It was at the Club Estación Norte de La Plata. It went hand in hand with my parents and we were accompanied by Pato Mongán, a relative in common with Maxi. At that time I practiced all kinds of sports, from soccer to volleyball, paddle tennis and tennis. Those who were truly hooked were my parents. "

It was not until 2006 when Maxi Grabiel and Ramiro Moyano played their first match together. Maxi had already settled in Spain and, on vacation, when he returned to La Plata, he exercised under the command of Sebastián Mocoroa and Gustavo Balquinta with a Moyano who was beginning to show that he had wits to be a great player.

On this path, Diego Grabiel abandoned the practice of paddle tennis, according to his brother Maxi because he was too crazy to face a sports discipline. Luckily, his children Galo and Nerina continue the saga while, in the Moyano family, his parents continue to be great fans and practitioners at an amateur level… And they don't miss any test at the provincial and local level.

That is why it could be said that the history of these two families will continue to be forged both outside and inside a paddle court… Maxi himself said: “I have always followed the evolution of Ramiro Moyano very closely. But it is in June 2015, when the game with Cristian Gutiérrez did not progress, when I decided to call my nephew to form a couple with a clear future profile ”.

Experience and youth, pause and power ... The 'Clan de Chascomús', the hometown of both families, continues to strengthen a passion that was born almost with the beginnings of paddle tennis in their country.
