Padel World Press .- Manu Martín returns to offer a new tutorial with some very useful tips for beginner players that can not afford a teacher, either for economic reasons or because they do not have a club within reach to learn.

The coach decided to start the video with an 0 Council, in which he recommended that, whenever possible, we should start learning with a teacher as it is a figure that will help us improve our game and that will give us a series of guidelines so that we do not injure ourselves with erroneous movements.

However, based on the fact that we can not afford it, Manu Martín tried to put himself in the shoes of beginners to be as precise as possible with the following advice:

1.- Material. Many times we do not know what shovels or what shoes to use to learn to play. Nothing happens. The technician reassured us saying that that is not the most important since it can serve a second-hand shovel, borrowed or any that is cheap as long as they are not broken. With the shoes, you should not go crazy either. Of course, it is better not to use a 'multitaco', so some tennis can serve.

2.- Technique. Although for Manu Martín it is very important, he is at the same height as the tactics. So as not to get involved, it is better to start with the continental grip, which consists in taking the shovel as if it were a hammer, and giving flat strokes instead of with effect. It is preferable to improve little by little and avoid possible injuries.

3.- Tactic. His advice is based on understanding the game. According to his words, the paddle "is a sport of statistics." It is preferable to have a defensive style and try to put a ball more than the opponent instead of betting on an aggressive game from the beginning.

4.- Game side. It is a very common doubt but Manu Martín commented that "you have to be objective": The worst quality player, if we are right-handed, should play on the right side because, in general, it will be the most defensive ... Although there are always exceptions.

5.- The WPT Circuit is a bad mirror. Watching and trying to copy professional players is not recommended ... And the difference in level is overwhelming. That is why it is better to enjoy watching it rather than copying. Of course, according to Manu Martín, the Women's Circuit could help us more in that sense because they have "less power" and stick more to the tactics, although "there are exceptions, of course".

But it does not end there. To finish, he also gave us a sixth advice, which was to see many tutorials online ... And they can all be of great help to us, even if we have been playing paddle tennis for a while.
