The last 8 of April, we already announced that Alejandro 'Mago' Sanz had become part of one of the most important clubs in Madrid: Reebok Sports Club La Finca. Now, we tell you more details how he faces a challenge that he feels has come at the right time.

Padel World Press .- Ahead of his time, capable of developing a fast and showy game facing the stands when it was normal to practice a slower paddle, to speak of 'Sancho' is to make it of one of the legends that this wonderful sport will always have.

Companion Martin Echegaray, Hernán Auguste, Roby Gattiker, Gaby Reca, Javier Siro or Maru Lasaigues among many others, if something is remembered is for being the first teammate Juan Martín Díaz had as a professional ... And it has always been said that a 'magician' formed the other 'magician'.

Very excited about the new challenge that has just appeared in his career, he wants to continue contributing his bit and, as he says, "keep collaborating, which always helps."

To begin, I would like you to tell us when and how the opportunity arose for you to become part of the La Finca team.

Well, very simple. One day, Juanjo called me to ask if I would be interested in becoming a member of this club and, truth be told, I was excited about the project he offered me.

What will be your role, what will be your responsibilities within this club?

What is mine will be to contribute my experience, as well as my knowledge, to add them to the existing team.

What challenge, what project would you like to develop within La Finca?

As you know, for many years I have always tried to do my bit to keep this sport growing. That is what I will try to do in this new challenge that I have just begun.

You have arrived at one of the 'most demanding' clubs in Madrid… How do you face the important challenge that has been presented to you?

The truth is that very excited. I think it's a very interesting challenge that comes to me just at the moment when I needed a challenge like this.

All a reference within the courts, and with a great didactic capacity outside of them… Have you ever considered being a coach of professional players?

The truth is that I have already trained some elite players but, to this day, the paddle is not so massive as to live only to be a coach. When I had to choose, I stayed with the teaching part

Speaking of the Professional Circuit… What do you expect from this season, in which everything is yet to be decided after so many changes of partner?

The most important thing, at least in my opinion, is that there is renewal ... And fundamentally for the fans, who need to decide their favorites and continue with the growth of the Circuit

If you had to choose, which is the couple that you like the most? Why?

Reca-Nerone, for affection and affinity. I know that they are not going to end up like the new 1 numbers in the world but, of course, they are going to fight a lot. As for the teammates that I had in my career, I can say that I have played with everyone but I stay with Javier Siro, for personal reasons

From your time to the present moment, paddle tennis has undergone a great transformation ... What are, in your opinion, the most important changes?

I would emphasize that the game has become much faster and more violent. That favors the fans to see a good show

Your generation played a unique, different paddle ... Is it possible that in the new generations a player with your qualities will emerge?

Every age is different. I think that the most important thing we have done has been to lay the foundations for paddle tennis to be what it is today… I hope and trust that it is only the beginning of something very good.

Nowadays, the boys are getting better and better prepared ... With that padel more than 'Academia', are you losing your temper?

Never. Genius is one of those things that do not work. It appears in those who have it. What the preparation does is to increase the level but, of course, the big ones will continue to be great

What is the current player that makes the Wizard vibrate?

I do not see all the tournaments but, yes, my weakness has always been Juan Martín Díaz.

After all a life linked to this sport, what is the moment you remember with more affection?

It would be unfair to cite just one. Paddle tennis was my life for 15 years and I don't change them for anything ...

Always in search of new challenges ... What dream, what project would you like to make a reality within the paddle tennis?

I think I could collaborate much more than I do now, but politics, even on paddle tennis, makes it take very little into account for institutional things. The fact that it is a new sport, and it is not taken as a reference to those of us who with much effort have taken this sport from being a beach game to what it is today, disappoints me ... But it is there, so to continue collaborating, which always helps.

What message would you like to convey to the readers of Padel World Press?

Enjoy this wonderful sport, which is exciting.
