Between the days 22 and 24 of September a new edition of the Championship of France was disputed. The player of Bullpadel Team aspired to revalidate the title with his partner Audrey Casanova but ended up falling in the grand final. After her defeat, the international gala wanted to share her feelings with the fans.

Padel World Press .- The facilities of the BIG IV club in Petite Foret (near Valenciennes) dressed in their best clothes to host the dispute of a competition that served to show that the level of French players does not stop to go further.

After beating all their rivals, Laura and Audrey qualified for an exciting final clash, in which they ended up falling to Alix Collombon-Jessica Ginier (7-6 and 6-4).

Sweet and Sour Defeat

As Laura Clergue herself pointed out through her social networks:

"Subchampions of France 2017. The certain thing is that it was difficult to lose our title after falling in a very disputed end, in which the result favored our rivals by 7-6 (7-5 in the tie break) and 6-4.

Although I feel a great disappointment, I have to say that I try to get everything positive that this competition had ... We gave everything on the track, we formed a very close team and I was able to implement on the field what I have been learning in Spain. When you give everything you have, there is nothing to regret.

I want to congratulate the rivals, Alix and Jess, because they deserved to win this title. Comp, Audrey Casanova, cheer up… You are a great player and a great person… We are for each other in both victory and defeat.

I cannot remain without congratulating the organizers and all the players who participated in this event. The atmosphere that has been breathed from day one is incredible… And the level has been very high !! Sad for the defeat, I am also happy for the improvement and evolution of this sport in our country.

In turn, I want to congratulate Johan Bergeron and Bastien Blanque for their triumph in the Men's Draw.

Thank you all for the words of encouragement and support.
