On October 22, a very special international meeting was held at the facilities of the popular club on the Costa del Sol ... In it, four of the best players in the Swedish Ranking were measured against four of the best minors in Spanish padel.

Padel World Press .- As Antonio Portillo, Adidas coach of the prestigious Malaga club, told us, the idea came out of his conversations with Tomas Ripstrand, delegate of Bullpadel in Sweden. Both wanted to strengthen ties between a city dumped with the paddle, as is Malaga, and a country like Sweden, in which this sport is in a clear process of growth. This is confirmed by the fact that in less than twelve months they have gone from having only two tracks to more than eighty (with numerous expansion projects).

Undoubtedly, it is a beautiful story that began five years ago. At that time, Tomas spent the summer in the Rincon de la Victoria and received classes from Antonio Portillo. It was in this way that a friendship began to be forged that, in these moments, has served to make possible an encounter like this one.

In an unforgettable day, in the first place the Swedish couples faced each other against the Spanish ones, and then they mixed before ending up playing a fun all against all ... Although the score was favorable to the representatives of the Inacua team, it surprised in a very pleasant way the level shown by the players trained by Sergio Beracierto.

Despite this, the least important was the sporting result and what stood out was the great step forward for the development and international growth that, for the paddle, suppose events like this.

It should be noted that the Swedish team, led by Sergio Beracierto, was made up of Andréas Johansson, David, Hansson, Bobby Seger and Roger Fridolf. For its part, the Inacua team, led by Antonio Portillo, had the presence of Momo González LuqueJosé Solano Marmolejo, TOlvaro Garcia y Carlos Pérez.

As Antonio Portillo himself described: "An act like this supposes an impulse in the growth of the paddle at an international level. To thank Inacua Centro de Raqueta and its manager, María Alonso, for giving up their facilities and collaborating directly in the celebration of the meeting. "

It is very likely that both Antonio Portillo and Emilio Suárez will complete their Physical Preparation of Paddle Level 1 in Swedish lands in 2016, a common bet that will surely give a new boost to the growth of padel in the Nordic country.
