In recent dates, a study by the Padilla Federation of Madrid revealed that from a 301 sample of its regular players, an 61% would be in favor of the creation of Mixed Federated Tournaments. What is the reason for the growing popularity of this type of evidence?
Padel World Press .- Our colleague Daniel Gamarra Peñalver wanted to talk about this matter with several of the most prestigious Mixed Tournament organizers in the Community of Madrid, to know what they thought about the data published by the FMP.
In this first article, the protagonists were the most responsible for DavelPádel, who revealed that in recent times they had already noticed that such competitions began to gain weight, so they were increasingly important in their monthly planning of events.
As they emphasized, in their tests they usually compete marriages or boyfriends, who use the paddle as a means to do more things together, as well as coworkers. With a level of the most varied, the main purpose of these appointments is usually to conduct an activity as a couple, above the competitive desire (which is more important in the Masculine and Feminine Categories).
The team of DavelPádel reported that in the Mixed Tournaments they usually limit the places to 16 couples and that these take place in the evenings of Saturdays or Sundays, with a duration that ranges between the 3 and the 4 hours.
Regarding the format, in their case they use a 4 Groups Table, in which they all play against each other, always matches of a set. The first two classified access to the Main Table and the last two to the Consolation (in this way, all participants are guaranteed a minimum of four meetings).
Within its price, which is 30 euros per couple, the participants have the right to fruit, water, barbecue or a variety of sandwiches ... As for the prizes, the Champions win medium-high range shovels or hams while, the runners-up, they go home with a paletero or an assortment of Iberian ham under their arms.
According to DavelPádel, one of the main reasons why this type of dating is growing in number of participants is because: "These are dynamic tournaments, in which very good friendships are made".
And that is what they intend to continue doing from this prestigious company ... Organize events in which all participants enjoy their favorite sport to the maximum, feel the great protagonists and, also, have the opportunity to spend more time with their partner, sharing a habit as healthy as practicing paddle.
