He is the Operational Director of the I Expert in Facilities Management of Pádel. By his hands he spends all day to day of a spectacular course, which will be the first promotion of professional managers and qualified facilities of this wonderful sport. Shortly after completing his first month of adventure, it is time to make the first analyzes.

Padel World Press .- In love with tennis since he was just a child, Carlos soon began to compete regionally in northern Spain. That passion was what led him to take the Instructor and Monitor courses of the Tennis Masters School of the Spanish Tennis Federation, as well as those of Tennis Referee.

An unfortunate chronic injury (torn trochlea) forced him to hang the racket but made him focus on his facet as a teacher. It was at the end of the 90 decade when he took his first steps in the world of paddle tennis, a sport that did not take long to seduce him. Everything started on the track and ended with his subsequent training as a technician (by the Spanish Paddle Federation) ... And if anything he has always liked to teach and share his knowledge with others.

A very important part of the EGIP project, then you can learn more about one of those fundamental pieces so that all this great gear works perfectly.

When and how did the possibility of being part of the EGIP project arise?

The world is a handkerchief and, the world of padel, is an even smaller handkerchief in which, more or less, we all know each other. For this reason, Miguel Matía, CEO of M3, and I have known each other for several years and have maintained a more or less close working and friendship relationship. At the birth of EGIP, we have believed positive and opportune to put together this wonderful idea of M3 with some of my humble management and training skills. If we unite everything, it gives the success that is EGIP.

What was it that seduced you into accepting to be part of this project?

My professional life and training is focused from the beginning to 'Training and Management' ... And EGIP is that: MANAGEMENT of paddle tennis facilities through an exhaustive and defined TRAINING of the employees of the clubs.

There have been many months of work, meetings, ... How was the process to define the structure of each block, its contents, etc?

In this sense, I must say that having the General Directorate of Miguel Matía, as well as the Academic Directorate of Antonio de Amescua, is a luxury and pleasure. Together they have reflected the best of their knowledge in the birth of EGIP and have achieved a very dynamic format that is easy for students and teachers to assimilate. They have achieved an outstanding result, because our objective has been to seek simplicity both on one side and the other (students and teachers)

Operational Director of EGIP ... What exactly is your function?

Coordinate all the 'actors' that EGIP has in this role, that is: students, teachers, coordinators, partners, the media, collaborating entities ... And it may seem difficult but thanks to the professionalism of all of them, such as Padel World Press, is a fairly simple task.

The first edition of a project is always the most complicated ... Did you expect the good response that EGIP has had?

I have a maxim that is 'If you do something, do it right'. From this premise, we had confidence in this good response, although it is true that the feedback given to us by the students has been very very good. We even have a waiting list for later editions.

A little more than a month ago the course took its first steps. How is the level of involvement on the part of the students?

I have to say that, as a general rule, it is being very participatory, with a very high level of involvement. It is true that combining your work and daily duties with an online Expert Course requires an effort on the part of the student, an effort that is TIME. But for the moment, we are happy with them.

What has attracted most attention from the students so far?

His enthusiasm and interest in training and making this wonderful sport professionalize a little more every day. The people who make up this world of paddle tennis have this duty to make it grow ... And we are going to achieve it by being better professionals. Our students have that illusion and they are achieving it: to be better professionals in the world of paddle tennis.

Each time, in the market there are more training programs, courses, methodologies ... What makes EGIP different?

Two fundamental things. The first is WHO is behind EGIP… And that is M3, the leading company in Spain in paddle sports management, with more than 60 professional players in its ranks, with more than 25 clubs certified according to its own methodology, with the presence from Jorge Martínez, the coach of the No. 1 couple on the women's circuit and the 2012 world champion… I think that is enough letter of introduction to show that we do things well.

Second, the moment. The padel is right at that moment to advance or stop ... And we have decided to move forward; advancing improving our daily performance, being better for our customers and seeking excellence in each of our actions.

There are many people who have stayed out of EGIP, waiting to see the result of this first experience ... What would you like to tell them?

The truth. That at the end of summer we will start the second promotion and that you will soon have news of interesting advantages for all those who want to reserve their place now.

On the other hand, it is also true that the first experiences serve to detect and correct errors. What challenges have you started to mark yourself for future editions of EGIP?

Improve the entire issue of online communication, something that we must do yes or yes since we must provide students with access to the content. We also have to rethink the face-to-face classes, which are very rare in themselves, but make them very affordable so that everyone benefits from Networking with their peers.

Many people ask themselves: "I do the course, I complete it, and now what?" In that sense, what will it mean for students to have the EGIP title?

Ours is not a course and that's it. It's not that I have a degree hanging on the wall ... Students will do a course, if they are going to receive their degree but, most importantly, they will learn to manage a paddle installation of different kinds. Our students will learn, they will know how to do things well.
