The Aragonese has been one of the 14 players included by Icíar Montes in his Pre-selection for the 2017 European Championship. The member of HEAD Pádel Rebel Team promises to work hard to enter the group of eight elected to defend our country in the prestigious international event.

Padel World Press .- At her 32 years, Zaragoza keeps going more in her game, which has earned her the attention of the national coach and to consolidate her position in the 27 ranking of the World Paddle Tour Ranking.

Very excited for both her recent pre-call with the Spanish National Team and for the start of her new stage with Nuria Rodríguez, we were able to talk with her to find out how she was experiencing such a special moment in her career.

Then we leave you with our interview.

Among those shortlisted by the Spanish National Team… What does it mean for you to be part of the first group chosen by Icíar Montes?

Well the simple fact that Iciar wanted to have me in that first group is an illusion and a huge motivation.

After a few years off the calendar, in 2015 the European returned to the IFJ Calendar… What does this tournament mean for a player like you?

I think that for any professional player to represent their country is a gift and, in addition, a very great satisfaction.

Spain was not present in the previous edition, which was played in the Netherlands ... I imagine that you will want to take our team to the top in the continental event again.

Of course ... There is always that desire for your team to be at the top, both for the players that make up the team and for the people who support and push them from outside.

What would it mean for you to be part of the definitive 8 group chosen?

Bufff ... The truth is that I would not have words with which to explain so much emotion to you.

Of all the European countries that you could face… which do you think may be your biggest rivals?

I think it would be France and Portugal

What do you think of the process of internationalization that, little by little, is following this sport?

The internalization of the paddle is necessary for this sport to continue growing professionally. It is very positive that more and more facilities are being built and people who practice it outside our country.

There are more and more players who are not Spanish or Argentine showing their talent on the WPT Circuit… Which of them have caught your attention the most? Will there be in a few years more countries represented in the leading positions of the Ranking?

Let's hope so and competitiveness does not exist mainly between Spain and Argentina ... Everything that benefits this sport, welcome. Among the 'international' players, I would highlight the French Laura Clergue. I think she is a girl who is improving a lot and we already see that her presence in the Final Draw is increasing.

The second part of the season is about to begin… What assessment would you make of these first months of competition? Have you managed to meet your goals?

From the first part of the season I stay with the positive, regardless of whether or not I achieved my goals. Now I start a new stage with a new partner. It is this second period that matters to me and in which I think now.

About to start your adventure with Nuria Rodríguez… How are your first training sessions going? What feelings are you having with your new partner?

I'm delighted to have Nuria next to me and I have to thank her for trusting me. The sensations are very good and there is a lot of connection outside the track, something that is then noticed inside. I am really enjoying our first training sessions between Zaragoza and Madrid.

What challenges have you marked for the final stretch of this campaign?

The main challenge is to create a solid team, enjoy and give everything always, in any type of circumstance.
