Padel World Press .- As noted Javier Casadesús: «The problem is not minor since one of the most spectacular plays of all of those that are part of the paddle is being lost.

The reason is very simple and exemplifies the history of our evolution as a sport. The paddle is a discipline of statistics and, in that sense, the auction by 3 has gone from being a blow that brought benefits to a deficit if it is not executed with due precautions. If the point is still working, in the end, the results are more positive.

The defenders have learned so much that it was even possible to provoke the 3 shot of the rival. In addition, it is increasingly comfortable to exit through increasingly larger doors and with more space off the track to run the rival.

The adaptation of the players to the environment has been, is and will be one of the main engines of the evolution of the paddle. Sometimes better and others worse, but with a clearly positive balance if we look with perspective.

Examples of adaptation we have many: from the derivatives of the evolution of materials (rubber blades vs. wooden blades; 4-meter lateral fence vs. 3-meter lateral fence; wall tracks vs. glass tracks; fast ball vs. slow ball… You will surely remember how fastball was like and how the players adapted their game by throwing a few balloons) Each of these modifications would give for a study.

But also the players have adapted to the improved physical and technical conditions of their rivals. For example, tactics aimed at tiring an opponent are no longer seen so often because, at the moment, this will rarely happen.

There will be, without a doubt, new situations that will require new adaptations. And the future, as always, will be for those who are better equipped to change. And for Willy Lahoz, of course.
