Padel World Press - The Autonomous Federations are concerned. With the recent announcement of the abandonment of Montecarlo International Sports (MCIS) In the world of paddle tennis, several Federations have issued a letter to the Spanish Paddle Federation (FEP) asking about the situation of the paddle, the sponsorships agreed and the position of the president of the FEP.

Through social networks, the official bodies of Asturias, Balearic Islands, Castilla La Mancha, Catalonia, Ceuta, Cantabria, Valencian Community and Galicia have issued an open letter to the FEP resident, Alfredo Garbisu, in which they show their surprise and concern for the abandonment of Monte Carlo International Sports, a company that had several projects underway in collaboration with the FEP.

Federations that focus especially on the figure of the president of the Federation because this letter dictates the possible project International Padel Tour (IPT) he had counted on his "face-to-face support" despite being neutralized in the June General Assembly.

In addition, the signatory Autonomous Federations ask if the exit of MCIS from the paddle will have repercussions with the future projects that had been devised for the FEP. Specifically, they refer to the next National Circuit for Minors Well, if you do not leave, «Would reduce the income of an FEP that is currently bankrupt with a negative equity of 125.483 euros» after the losses of the 2017 exercise.

This is the integral letter of the Autonomic Federations to the President of the Spanish Paddle Federation:

«After the events that occurred this past week Regarding the disappearance of the International Padel Tour (ITP) circuit project, led by Monte Carlo International Sports (MCIS), project that has counted since its inception with the face-to-face support of the President of the FEP, the undersigned autonomous Federations would like to know the reasons that led Mr. Garbisu to champion the presentation of this circuit with the players, when in the last General Assembly of the month of June he was asked to explain the position that the FEP was going to maintain in this conflict, stating that he would remain neutral and on the margin of this dispute. To this we must add that the MCIS IPT circuit has never intended to have female athletes for their project, this being a clear discrimination for this group of professionals that for the Autonomic Federations are clear exponent of the success of this sport.

Recently, we have also known that MCIS has unilaterally terminated the sponsorship contracts that linked it with various players of the professional circuit, and we wonder if this declaration of total abandonment of the world of paddle by MCIS will also affect the sponsorship that this company had committed with the FEP for next year in the national circuit of Minors. This rescission, if true, will significantly reduce the income of an FEP that is currently in BANKRUPTCY with a negative equity of 125.483 €, after a loss in the 2017 exercise of 143.444 € and a result to 30 / 09 / 2018 and forecast of annual closure unknown and uncertain, of which we have requested information.

All this has led to a sharp deterioration in the image of our national Federation and our sport, which should be reversed as soon as possible to safeguard it. For this we see It is necessary to know the Viability Plan presented to the CSD to reverse the current equity situation of the FEP, the budgetary adjustment of the 2018 and the future economic plans who will be very affected by the loss of the sponsorship previously indicated.

Hopefully the Mr. Garbisu can give the proper explanations as soon as possible, in the corresponding governing bodies of the FEP or where he deems appropriate for your convenience ”.
