Padel World Press - Talent in Female is an initiative of Women and Sports Committee of the Spanish Paddle Federation. It is an activity that has as target popularize the sport of paddle tennis in Spain. It is especially aimed at the recruitment and initiation in paddle tennis of players of Benjamin category, that is, less than 10 years old.
This activity will take place between Sunday 26 and Monday 27 from December. In addition, it has the collaboration of Superior Sports Council through its programs focused on women and sports, called in the same way (Woman and Sport). Oriented towards the field of recruitment of young talents in paddle tennis schools and that is possible thanks to the participation of the territorial federations.
Paqui Rojas, who holds the position of president of the Spanish Federation of Paddle (FEP), has stated that «This is one of the programs that we launched this year from the FEP Women and Sports Committee and that seeks reduce the difference that exists in the Benjamin category regarding the participation of male and female players ». Rojas thinks that it is precisely this collaboration of territorial federations what will allow decrease the distance between the number of male and female participants.
He has also announced that «We know that there are already federations that have been working on the talent detection in centers educational programs with their own«. However, he defends the need to carry out the activity Talent in Female why "This initiative aims directly at the achievement of a very specific objective: expand the base of our quarry by new girls onboarding who want to start in paddle tennis, or who take the step and start compete at the regional or national level«.
The ultimate goal of the creation of the aforementioned initiative is boost paddle tennis in general and female youngest category in particular; to effectively establish the principles of equality in this sport and what tall players have the same chances.
Such is so Talent in Female will consist of including the paddle tennis in schools through the implementation of attractive days for the little ones. They are intended to publicize this professional facet of padel with local coaches.
