He barely has a few months to live but has already managed to consecrate himself as a true reference of this wonderful sport in the Province of Álava. In his philosophy is key to be a club within everyone's reach, both in price and in distances, always offering the highest quality.
Padel World Press .- There are many differentiating elements that have allowed this venue has not needed much time to conquer the fans of Vitoria. To begin with, the only club in Álava that have Panoramic Tracks and, in addition, its School (designed to teach youngsters this sporting discipline together with the values of sport) has been a success almost since it opened its doors.
With the aim of offering a service capable of entertaining, entertaining and teaching, its efforts and activities are aimed at audiences of all ages. Undoubtedly, one of its fundamental pillars is to get their students out well trained and, in turn, strengthen relationships between people through sports and gastronomy.
One of the most responsible Pádel Pista Norte is Gorka Fernández-Miranda, a fervent lover of the world of sports in general and paddle tennis in particular. With the firm intention of making something more than just a club available to fans, he tells us about the origins of this adventure and the challenges for the future.
You just have a few months to live and you are already starting to be a reference for paddle fans in the Province of Álava ... How did the idea of starting this project come about?
We are all people from the world of sports and some, specifically, from paddle tennis. We wanted to start a project that would do different things and that would approach the treatment of clients in a special way ... And that was why we decided to embark on this adventure.
What is the philosophy, what are the fundamental values that are transmitted from Pádel Pista Norte?
Our core values are passion for sport, quality in service provision and teaching, as well as honesty with ourselves and the people around us. The philosophy, which is included in our name with the 'School & Business', is dealing with the little ones. We want to instill in them sport and its values and to generate synergies and meetings between companies throughout the world of sport.
It's still early but I'm sure you already have several moments to remember ... What do you think that moment will be that you can never forget about the beginning of this adventure?
The day we created the company was exciting because we saw that the dream was coming true. Nor will I forget when I returned from a few days of rest and I saw the club almost finished, with the tracks, the bar, gym ... That day was the one to know that we were getting it.
Very patient city, with very demanding fans, could you briefly describe what users who visit you for the first time can find?
You can find a very warm installation, in which you can play paddle tennis, go to the gym or do guided activities such as Zumba or Pilates, to do acrobatics in the circus school or to pay a gastronomic tribute in our bar-restaurant ... And that afterwards to go through the physiotherapist or a good session of electro-stimulation. In short, a variety of activities that can make the day pass both children and adults.
With a total of 8 tracks and many other facilities. Is it important for you to have the help of PadelClick?
Very important. I had worked with Padelclick before and I had no doubt that I wanted to continue doing it ... And not only because of the quality of their software, which is great, but because of the way they treat us on a day-to-day basis. After seeing several options, I think PadelClick is the best reservation software on the market and the customer service is very good.
Full of life and activity from your first days, what are your actual levels of occupation?
We are very happy with the occupation. Both at the level of rentals and tournaments we are exceeding the initial forecasts. The truth is that it is always good to start with confidence a project of this magnitude.
How many products related to paddle tennis have you made available to your customers? Which are the ones that are working best for you?
The school is working very well for us but, in that aspect, we want to innovate and do things different from the 'normal' classes. The I Sign Up! They are starting to work and the tournaments with the cadre module that they have implemented in Padelclick have given very good results. What also worked very well was the clinic we did on the occasion of the inauguration with Juani Mieres, Chiqui Cepero and Juan Martín Díaz. I take this opportunity to thank them for their presence.
Do you have in mind any new proposal for the end of the year that you can anticipate us?
We want to implement the ¡I Apunto! Training, doing 'different' tournaments ... We can not give many clues, lest we take away the idea, hehehe.
With many illusions placed in your school, what can you tell us about it? What is your mission and your vision?
As I said, our goal is the training of children, and instilling values such as honesty, honesty and sportsmanship through sports. They have to learn to socialize and to lose ... What to win is learned easier!
What methodology will you follow in your school?
That would be answered better by our sports director, Iñigo López de Aberásturi but, of course, the goal is to have fun doing sports and, if they learn, much better. The children start at the base school from the 4 years; later they begin to play a game and with 8-9 years is when they start to compete at the school level. The most outstanding students are Federated by their parents' desire to compete at a higher level. Those who do not, continue playing school until 16 years. Then comes the Technification, pass to adults ... ..
What are the challenges in the medium and long term that you would like to fulfill?
The challenges are to meet the needs of all the people who come through the door and grow hand in hand with all the partners who have trusted us. We do not want to be an installation to use, but we want to be a CLUB, where people feel at home, and with the goal of achieving a sense of belonging.
