It is one of the most important hits in the world of paddle tennis. Learning to 'master' is essential for any fan. He Kuumax team offers us a series of recommendations to try to make the most of this wonderful sport.

Padel World Press.- The volley is one of the key strokes in the paddle, of the most characteristic and, at the same time, most complex. However, if we can perfect it, it will allow us to obtain great results.

That is why we want to share some keys that can improve the volley, both right and backwards.

  1. The step towards the ball.

We all know how important it is to step forward crossing the supporting foot, but did we cross it well? Watch your volley and try to start stepping toward the ball, not toward the net. Many times we automate the senseless step forward and we do not realize that what is really effective in taking the step is: taking it right at impact and taking it towards the ball (forcing you to do it diagonally).

  1. The elbow

Try to keep the elbow as close to the body as possible. With this you will avoid having an incorrect assembly and you will get to improve the direction and depth of your volley, besides improving the safety of the blow, with what you will gain in confidence.

  1. the wait

Do not go for the ball like a crazy ... Give it time to get well and hit the ball as close as possible. This way you will avoid losing all those balls that go to the crystal (armed long and little wait). The position of the body is important when we are waiting in the network. The knees have to be slightly bent and the weight of the body should fall on the tips of the feet.

  1. The feet

Stay active as much as possible, just staying on tiptoe, very active. That way, you will get the balls to not get caught unexpectedly and have enough time to make a good volley, come as it may.

  1. The support hand

Especially in the backhand volley, keep the supporting hand holding the shovel and at the moment of the blow, use it of balance (action-reaction: the skillful hand goes forward and the supporting hand goes behind). Many times we do not realize that we have the support hand without using it and it is one of the points that most help in the reverse.
