Among the many stars of the paddle world that will be present in this championship could be mentioned, for example, Fernando Belasteguín, Pablo Lima, Juan Martín Díaz, Maxi Sánchez, Sanyo Gutiérrez, Miguel Lamperti, Matías Díaz, Juani Mieres, the Sanchez twins Alayeto, Marta Marrero, Lucía Sainz, Gemma Triay, Catalina Tenorio, Ari Sánchez, Martita Ortega, Eli Amatriain, Patty Llaguno ...

As they pointed out from the Spanish Federation: "A figure clearly reflects the enormous competitive level of the event ... The 15 best players in the Padel World Ranking will be at RC Polo while, in men, 13 of the 15 best players will participate".

During the presentation ceremony, held at the RC Polo, Ricky Cabot, head of the club's Paddle Section, highlighted: “The pride of hosting this Championship. We have been organizing paddle events for more than 20 years and we want to continue many more ”. In his statements, he asserted that the Central Court will have a stand with capacity for 500 people and that access will be free.

At a competitive level, note that the Spanish Championship for 1st Category Teams will start on the 09 Friday of March with the quarterfinals dispute. Saturday will be the day of the semifinals and of the eliminatory ones to avoid the descent to IIª Category whereas on Sunday the finals will be defined (10: 45 hours the feminine and to the 12: 00 the masculine one).

The Real Club de Polo de Barcelona, ​​which will act as host, will have two blocks of enormous guarantees. In the Men's Box they recover Fernando Belasteguín and his regular partner, Pablo Lima. In the case of the girls, she will also start as one of the squads to beat with an impressive list of players: Lucía Sainz, Gemma Triay, Marta Ortega, Ariana Sánchez, Tamara Icardo, Valeria Pavón and Alejandra Salazar.

Lucía Sainz considered that this Spanish Championship: “It will be very special to be played at home. A different atmosphere is created, you make much more team than in pairs tournaments and you have to understand well with those who are the rivals during the rest of the season. For Fernando Belasteguín: “The objective is to win the title but we have had some very difficult crosses. Anyway, we are very excited about the tournament ”.
