Mauri Muñoz is one of the best connoisseurs of international paddle tennis; one of the pioneers to 'dare' to visit many European countries to bring his passion for this wonderful sport to them. Due to his travels and his daily work, he has a very close perception of how paddle tennis is lived in all corners of the Old Continent. Once again, he wanted to share his reflections with the readers of Padel World Press.

Padel World Press .- Today is a special day for me at the sporting level ... Although I have not won any Challenger Tournament of the World Paddle Tour Circuit, the truth is that I feel as if it had happened.

In the year 2012 began my adventure in Swedish lands, where I was invited to play on the first and only paddle tennis court that was at that time in the Nordic country, which was located in the city of Malmo.

After a few months the first Indoor Paddle Club was opened in Sweden, located in Helsingborg. To this day, the Racket Clinic Helsingborg has a total of 5 tracks, in which many tournaments and paddle events are held. I have to say that I had the honor of being able to organize in him, together with Nito Brea, the first Course of Monitors endorsed by the FIP and the APA.

Five seasons after that visit we can already find in that country up to its own Circuit, the Swedish Padel Tour, franchises of paddle clubs in different cities, commercials of top brands of shovels, tracks and, most importantly and of what I feel a lucky one: finally World Paddle Tour will land in Scandinavian lands. I am sure that this event will mark a before and after in the history of Swedish paddle tennis and, without a doubt, will contribute to the end of this sport in Sweden.

I want to thank all the people of that wonderful country who I had the opportunity to train, play and meet as people ... To all of them, congratulate them because they are the main 'culprits' that the World Padel Tour reaches their country ... Thank you!!!

Next stop: Brussels (Belgium)

How to define it in a few words: small country but big heart.

My story with Brussels and with Belgium started at 2013. That year they invited me to give clinics in EuroPadel (Brussels) and Padel4u2 (Ghent).

It was at that moment that I realized that something was about to happen in international paddle tennis ... Little by little, this discipline would be discovered by many people, who would end up making a 'habit' of playing paddle tennis that, at least for me, it is the most beautiful sport on the planet.

On a personal level, I would like to say that I feel truly lucky since I was one of the Coaches of the Belgian National Team that participated in the Palma de Mallorca World Cup as well as the Technical Adviser of the national team in the European Championship held at La Playa de Mallorca. Rijswijk (Holland).

The Belgian padel and its evolution would have been impossible without the work of Mr. Philippe Werts, whom I take the opportunity to congratulate for his great work and his effort to bring the WPT Circuit to one of the European capitals.

Of course, I can not forget to thank all the people of Belgium who opened their doors to me sportingly from their clubs and, with their closeness, allowed me to learn a little more about their interesting culture.

To finish, I have to point out that I feel very proud to have been the first (as a monitor, player or coach) to have visited those countries to help them improve in all general senses of paddle tennis ...

Let us not be surprised that WPT reaches other countries, where padel is starting to be a rage and to write a new story in the world of sports.
