Gonzalo Rubio: "Our balance as a couple in Miami was positive again"

The second installment of the articles that the promising Sevillian player will share with the readers of Padel World Press arrives. On the verge of facing his debut at the A Coruña Open, the member of the HEAD Rebel Team He will tell us about his time in Miami and his subsequent Clinics in Mexico.

Padel World Press .- Current number 44 of the WPT Ranking, the Andalusian has set the goal of continuing to improve positions in the standings and to maintain the great evolution in his game he is experiencing during the last seasons.

Already back from his 'American adventure', What could Gonzalo Rubio have told us?

"Very good to all readers of Padel World Press. In the following note I am going to give you a brief summary of our participation in the WPT Miami Master.

First of all, I would like to thank World Padel Tour for its great effort to get the first professional test of history in the United States. Without a doubt, it has been a great step towards the growth and internationalization of this sport, in an incomparable setting such as Lummus Park, and on the beach.

As for sports, our balance as a couple is positive again.

In the first round, we overcame a match that promised to be extremely tough against Nacho Gadea-Germán Tamame by 6-3 and 6-4. We were able to play a very solid game and we made very few mistakes.

Although we played in the first turn of the 09: 30 hours, the truth is that it looked like it was later, especially because of the high temperatures and the high humidity.

In the round of eighth we had to face Bela and Lima, the current 1 number in the world. We played at a fairly correct level but it was not enough to be able to defeat this tough couple.

Although the conditions of the track equaled a little the game, since it cost enough to break the service, a break in each set was enough for them to win.

With a job well done, we packed our bags and left for Merida (Mexico). We spent a fantastic week there doing events and enjoying their places, without forgetting the training part… And the WPT A Coruña is already underway !!

Greetings to all and see you in the following chronicle of the A Coruña Open.
