Currently number 57 in the world, General Pacheco's had been in Spain for almost two decades, making his dream of competing against the best players in the world come true. Now, After everything in 2020, you have decided to make a very thoughtful decision.
As Fede Quiles himself pointed out through his social networks:
“After thinking a lot about it and going through a year like the one that happened, after 17 years I have to end my stage in Spain and return to my country.
It has not been easy, far from it. I have enjoyed great years playing with the best and been in privileged positions for a professional athlete… But with just turned 38 and a long road in this sport, added to the situation we are going through, I need to make a change to give a twist both personally and financially Since, unfortunately, today dedicating myself to compete and live 100% of paddle tennis in Spain is impossible for me.
I would like to thank so many people that I don't know where to start. Not forgetting any of them is almost impossible: To my family who always supported me, to my friends (more veterans and newcomers who continue to compete) who, although being far away, know that I am here and I want them to always win ... To the rivals for those battles in tournaments that made the best of me, to WPT for so many years together from the first moment there in 2013, to my sponsors who accompanied me at all times ... And, of course, to all the people who follow me, always support and encourage me in each game from the networks or personally.
