Padel World Press .- Through this report, we will try to dismantle some false myths about the eating united to the sport, to see if between all we clarify a little better and we make that our daily diet and exercise form a harmonic tandem.

For starters, here goes the first: Make exercise allows you to eat whatever you want. This, more than a myth, what it is about is an alibi to eat everything that is put in front of you. It is true that if you practice any type of sport you consume more energy and burn more calories, so you will be able to eat more than if you did not… However, if you eat more than you spend, you will not lose weight; on the contrary, you will get fat.

The next point is related to the previous one, in terms of its popularity and the ease with which it can be disassembled: sweating makes you lose weight. The answer is no. With sweating you lose water and mineral salts that, in addition, you must recover by drinking water or an isotonic drink during and after doing sports to regain the lost weight ... Because sweating does not lose fat. Therefore, it is useless to wrap yourself up to exercise, or to abuse the sauna, which, although it has many other benefits, will not help you lose weight. Of course, do not forget that you have to drink liquids to be well hydrated.

We continue: A hyperproteic diet improves your performance and makes you gain muscle… It is also false. According to some studies, it is not necessary to take more than 2g of protein per kg of weight per day. The excess of it does not bring you any benefit but rather the opposite could happen and cause negative effects on your health in the medium or short term.

Another topic: fats are bad. Like everything in life, according to and how. You should not eliminate fats from your diet because they are essential for your life. When it comes to sports, your body converts carbohydrates into energy in the first few minutes, but then it needs fats to continue. The problem is in the excess and in the type of fat. In that sense, it would be advisable to choose foods rich in unsaturated fats (blue fish, vegetable oil, nuts, etc.) and limit saturated fats (fatty meats, eggs, dairy products, etc.).

In short: you have to eat well and play sports. This is all about living a healthy life. It is important that you eat the right way, eating everything in reasonable proportions, and that you practice your favorite sport regularly… At least two or three times a week.

In this way you will see yourself and they will see you better. You can eat very well thanks to our rich and varied Mediterranean diet and practicing some type of exercise to achieve the harmony that your body and mind need.
