Padel World Press .- There are many factors that must be taken into account when deciding the ideal position for any player within the track ... You have to know if this is aggressive and has good definition; if on the other hand he has good physical conditions and plays with a more defensive, orderly partner ... It is very important that we look very well at our characteristics to know if we would perform better on the right or on the reverse.

That is why in this article, the Golf Canal team will try to help the fans to improve and perfect each one of these shots so that they win in safety in both positions.

Right or Drive Blow

1.- Position: From the waiting position, we must turn our shoulders towards the right side, bringing the left leg forward, having both feet parallel again. We point with the left shoulder towards the objective and we take the shovel backwards. The preparation should be a short stroke, which is not long.

2.- Impact: Glue the ball forward, passing the weight of the body of the right leg towards the left leg, raising the paddle to the height of the left foot, and ending with the paddle at eye level. It is very important to accompany the movement with the body, where we direct the profile, it will be where we take the ball.

3.- When hitting the ball with the shovel, guide yourself with the left arm, and when it reaches the height ... Hit it !! Don't shrink your arm too much or stretch it too far; perform a natural movement. Also be careful about raising your elbow before striking.

4.- We always recommend that the feet are active and legs a little flexed. This makes us react faster to the opponent's blow.

5.- To avoid 'doll', you should grab the hilt as in the form we call 'continental': our hand should make a 'V' and the blade's edge be straight and in the middle of that 'V'. We should not grab it loose, because the shovel is going to go, but not too strong, because the shovel would be stiff and would be noticed in our blows. We must keep the wrist firm.

Test on the track wall itself. If we go to the right or left, is that we are advancing or delaying the body in the coup.

Reverse Strike

1.- Position: We will never make the backhand blow head on. From the initial position, we should turn our shoulders to the left, point the ball with the right shoulder, bring the blade back with the left hand and support the right foot towards the front.

2.- Impact: It is time to hit the ball ... Let go of the shovel of the left hand and we tilt the weight of the body from the left leg to the right. We hit the ball finishing the blow with the shovel pointing to the target, straight, and at the height of the right shoulder.

3.- You do not have to give much power, because it is a defensive blow ... But you do have to train to control it.

4.- As in the drive, we must not overtake or delay the body before the blow, we must not wrestle (firm dolls), and we should not get too close to the ball before hitting it, because it will not allow us to have a way to make a good hit.

Practice with the wall, to control the direction of your backhand.

On the backhand, many players doubt whether to use one or two hands, as in tennis. Above all, those who are starting out, having no security and strength in this coup. Our recommendation is that one hand be used from the start. The blades are designed for the comfort of holding them with one hand and the back suffers more when doing it with two.

The paddle is not like tennis. It is true that some points we can solve better with two hands, but we lack agility because in the paddle we are usually moving around the track, even with our backs to the net, we return balls at ground level, ... We need greater ease and with two hands is more difficult.

A tip: Play always comfortable.
