Padel World Press .- It was December 2012 when a group of leaders from different national federations decided to step forward and change the 'predefined order' of the International Federation. One of the main architects of this movement was Daniel Patti, who knew how to pull the strings to be appointed as President by his colleagues when the main candidate was Bill Stamile (Canada).

Almost six years after taking office, and after being re-elected in November by 2016, the Italian decided to resign through a Communiqué addressed to Associate Members, Members of the Board of Directors, Internal Auditors and Collaborators of the FIP.

As we already told at the time, at the end of June, the Lisbon Challenger became the headquarters in which directors and representatives of most of the Federations that are part of the FIP family they had a meeting in which, among other things, it was decided to present a motion of censure against Daniel Patti.

Several of the participants in this meeting told us: "We were the Associate Members who, acting as our statutes mark, agreed to take forward this proposal to convene an Extraordinary Emergency Meeting. The decision was approved by more than 90 votes and the reason that led us to raise this motion of censure responds to the widespread discontent that exists for the management that is being carried out by the President. We understood that it was necessary to take a turn to be able to face successfully and guarantee the important and ambitious challenges that present themselves in the present and in the future of the paddle ".

Two months after this important movement we find his first 'great consequence' ... And that is that Daniel Patti submitted his resignation. In a brief note, the former President said that the situation created in the International Federation led him to make that decision and, in turn, stated that he had no doubt that the FIP will continue to exercise its functions in the manner that is foreseen. statutorily.

At the same time, he wanted to thank the padel's efforts made by the Presidents of the different National Federations and was very proud of the international expansion that was beginning to have this wonderful sport, not to mention that for him it had been a true honor to be in charge of said institution for almost six years.

What will happen from now? Who will become the new President of the FIP? We are waiting for some very interesting weeks and, in Padel World Press, we will tell you everything that happens around this important issue.
