The sixth installment of our Shovel Tests arrives. On this occasion, Hugo R. has analyzed one of the most charismatic models of the prestigious firm 'of the snake'. If I had to define it in a few words, I would say that it is a power shovel, ready to go on the attack as soon as the opportunity presents itself.
Padel World Press .- Hi friends, sufferers! Once again, the first in this 2016, we bring you one of our analysis of material, but not before wishing you all that you have a year full of much paddle. We hope you like it and, above all, that you find it useful.
On this occasion we dare to analyze a very classic shovel very much to the taste of amateur players: the Vibra-A Yarara World Champion Edition 2015. We say that it is a 'classic' model because it is one of the preferred ones by lovers of the snake brand and used by players who seek power in their blows ... But we do not advance events.
The truth is that the test time of this blade has been short but we already had previous notions about it, so we have been able to make a very good idea of its characteristics. The brand gave us a test pad with a weight of 368 grams, a very common weight that a lot of amateur players feel comfortable with.
While it was in our power did not suffer any damage despite the fact that we subjected to several training and matches, with the consequent friction of the wall and other circumstances of a match. As we say, the test time was not longer than a month, so we can not take stock of its durability.
The product in hand ... The first thing we see
Little to say that you do not know about the aesthetics of the Yarara Edition, in which stands out the incorporation of Chromed Vibor-A logos inside laurel wreaths and headed by a crown of three points (in commemoration of the World Championship) and a finished in matt varnish, which makes it very elegant and with a classic touch for those who do not want to stand out in the aesthetic.
As always, from the plane of the shovel the head of the 'viper' is born presiding over the design of all its blades, this time being gray with a red border on a black background and a golden base.
They present us with a thermal cover to keep a good temperature, white, in which the detail of the brand's logo with laurel wreaths is also present. The case comes with a pocket of small size at one end, designed for those who like to store their personal belongings without risk of loss.
It has the handle of normal size, being to the touch with the original grip of a rectangular shape, waiting to add some / os overgrip to the taste of the consumer, given that the handle is small. In our case there were two. The shape of the shovel is nothing exaggerated tear.
When you hold it in a vacuum you notice that the weight is slightly displaced to the head, which is perceived the same by adding a protector and the overgrip. It is not 'bighead' at all but it is on its way to becoming one.
In this section we highlight, once again and as is customary in the Vibor-A brand, the bracelet type bracelet, with the name of the brand embroidered on it (in this gold colored blade). For us, as we have said in previous analyzes, the best way to fasten the blade.

Analyzed the rally in the background. With the first strokes we can conclude that it is a shovel with a medium touch; In other words, it is not hard at all but it does not have this soft or soft touch that we saw with the Black Mamba. This is something that does not significantly affect the control of the blade, since it has a wide sweet spot, or the sensations of impact with the ball ... But it does affect the ball output. For all that has been said, the ball does not enter the shovel and comes out spat out thanks to the rubber, but it does help us control the directions we want to print in each stroke by the sweet spot and the touch.
The track background It is not a virtue, that is clear, but unlike other shovels, it is not a stone in your shoe either. It has a good response due to its power and allows some other error without punishing you excessively for it, thanks to its good sweet spot.
Uploading to the network is when the Yarara World Champion Edition 2015 opens a wide smile ... On the volleys we enjoy an acceptable agility although its balance pulls to the head: its great power and its sweet spot make us enjoy each stroke as each sound that releases the Yarara when you squeeze it incessantly ... I do not want to emphasize that its sweet spot is exaggeratedly high but, to be a powerful shovel, the truth is that it leaves the control forgotten and throws it aside. The ideal impact zone (sweet spot) is a pleasant surprise for us. Although we are not before a shovel that stands out for its control and will require that we have a little hand to take the ball wherever we say it goes, we should note that we are not facing a 'horse difficult to tame'. It could be said that we are facing a mare with a lot of character but letting herself be courted.
As we said, it has an average touch closer to the soft than to the hard ... So the ball blocks in the net can take them without problems but not so much as to direct them with comfort ...
And once we said that your habitat was the network, within the blows in that area there is one in which you will enjoy non-stop, the smash. We mix a shovel in teardrop shape, with good sweet spot, medium touch, good ball feel, good agility and power in abundance and we have as a result: A ferocious snake hitting the ball. What power this shovel offers us. Undoubtedly, that is his greatest virtue above all and makes it the right shovel both for those who like to bust the ball and for those who do not because they do not feel safe with the power of his arm. With an acceptable technique, this 'viper' will give you a plus of power that, along with its sound, will be a good controlled explosion.
In the thumping by three, is also very grateful and not at all elusive to different effects that we apply to the ball, so we will have enormous sensations. For a great power in hits, touch ball and good sweet spot to be a total stick, I would call it .... 'the Boxer'.
Arrived at the point of the tray, blow that without a doubt we all have to try to dominate at all costs, we should say that as with the wall outlet, we must maintain and respect the 'tempo' of the blade. Being very powerful, if we apply this power to these blows, the 'boxer' will release a strong right to the chin of the rival track, which can turn against us if we trust too much in its sweet spot.
We will not tire of repeating that both the sweet spot and the touch of the shovel are good ... But especially they are good for being a stuck because without the power that has the Yarara we would not have a shovel for anything complete. That is why you have to know how to control this type of blows because if we do it and get it right, it will be true blows to our rivals but, if we take them lightly, they will make the ball crash irremediably without even smell the grass of the rival track. You have to be careful and, with that care, they are two types of blows that we can take very good advantage of even applying effects or pulling vipers, but without touching the paddle of you and measuring your 'tempo'.
We ended up with the balloons, in which this shovel, for me, also stands out. It will be because of its power, it will be because of the confidence it offers you ... But the balloons in almost any type of situation come out good and deep. Of course, your doll will have something to contribute to the final touch.
As for the the defense, as well as his behavior at the bottom of the track. A sweet spot more than correct when we need to recover a complicated ball or flush with the ground that in a small part can give you a hand when we are forced, allowing some execution error sometimes. However, yes you will notice that this is not the favorite area of this blade, so your position before this part of the game will be very neutral and sometimes, due to its previously praised power, you can get into some other mess if you we trust everything to her. Correct without more and you will be willing to upload to the network as soon as possible.
In summary…
Of aesthetics, stately, for those who like the classic with a touch ... Vibor-A.
Born to hit. A shovel with a great power that will delight any aggressive player who wants to hit the ball again and again but, at the same time, also indicated for those who do not trust in the power of their arm but do not want an uncontrollable missile either.
The volleys and trays are hits that you will love but if you do not control the shovel well you may hate them at the same time. In the volley it will be easy to crush the ball and it will unleash tremendous blows to the rivals; to the trays you have to add control because they may end up half a meter off the ground without touching the grass.
Shovel incredible power, do not forget to have a little control, thanks to its pleasant medium touch and a more than acceptable sweet spot.
When it comes to putting a but ... it could be the defense. Although it is not a shovel that penalizes in that aspect, it will simply let itself be done and it will make its users prove they are made of pasta. We call it 'but' but really what we would say is that it neither hurts nor helps: it simply waits for its owner's hand.

It is not a shovel to help you learn; rather it is a shovel that complements your virtues as long as you are beaters born to 'enter the ring'.
