Padel World Press .- The Valladolid fans were eager to see the debut of the most outstanding couples in the Women's Ranking and, of course, one could only say that the wait was worth it. The big favorites fulfilled the forecasts and won comfortable victories.
To start, the Majo and Mapi Sánchez Alayeto twins overcame 6-0 and 6-1 to Haizea Zamora-Maite Gabarrús and they will face each other with Carla Mesa-Noelia Márquez who gave the surprise of the day and overtook Nela Brito-Lorena Alonso for 7-6 and 6-2.
Alejandra Salazar and Marta Marrero, numbers 2 of the Ranking, had no problem to beat 6-2 and 6-1 to Ana Laura Grandes-Vanesa Alonso. Once again, they will have to face each other with Cata Tenorio-Victoria Iglesias, who eliminated Ana Catarina Nogueira-Sandra Hernandez (6-3 and 7-6).
With a firm step, Carolina Navarro-Cecilia Reiter prevailed over Celeste Paz-Lucía Martínez (6-1 and 6-4). The pupils of Rodri Ovide will play against Paula Eyheraguibel-Gemma Triay, who won by 6-3 and 7-6 to Ana Fernández de Osso-Teresa Navarro.
The other great clash of the quarter round will be the one between Marta Ortega-Lucía Sainz and Patty Llaguno-Eli Amatriain. The former left Alba Galán-Mari Carmen Villaba on the road by a tight 4-6, 6-4 and 6-3 while the latter had less complications against Ángela Caro-Paula Hermida (6-3 and 6-1).
On Friday, 19 in June, the name of the semifinalists of this exciting event will be known. The matches will start at 09: 30 hours.
