The facilities of the wonderful club welcomed the dispute of the I Open Gold of the Madrid Circuit. With the presence of high-level players and players, the victory in the Women's Box went to the Mapi and Majo Sánchez Alayeto twins while, in the Men's Category, the victory fell on the side of Javier Concepción and Uri Botello.

Focused on the sporting aspect, and among the girls, Paula Hermida and Ana Grandes were about to surprise Mapi and Majo in the grand final. Without having lost a single set throughout the championship, the Sánchez Alayeto Twins managed to eliminate Alba Galán-Mª Carmen Villalba (who chained seven consecutive victories in the Madrid Federation) among other rivals. For their part, Hermida and Ana Grandes had to be used thoroughly to reach the final meeting.
With the sun on high and under intense heat, the two best pairs entered the track with the firm intention of winning the victory. Although Paula and Ana started very well and scored the first round after winning the tie-break, their rivals turned the situation around and leveled the contest (6-7 and 6-3). With many nerves, with constant alternatives, the Sánchez Alayeto sisters were more successful in the decisive moments, they signed up the third set and took over this coveted title.
A lot of equality between the boys
They had it in their hands, they came to touch the victory but they ended up escaping. After overcoming a spectacular picture, in which they debuted with a hard commitment to Marina-Ruiz Granados (7-6 and 7-6), already in quarters they were imposed on Díaz-Bergareche by 7-6 and 6-4. In the semifinals, his rivals were Casal-Sánchez, who took the commitment to the third and final set, which was also defined in sudden death.
For their part, Marcos and Fernández beat Alba-Gª Campos in the quarterfinals, seeded No. 1. Already in semis, they were very blunt and gave no choice to their rivals. Moraleda-Sarralde did not show their best version and fell for 6-3 and 6-1.
In the grand final, and although Pinco and Raúl arrived with less wear than their rivals, the truth is that the forces were very even at all times. From the first moment, Javi Concepción began to hit hard at all the balloons that came to him while his rivals did not know how to stop the barrage of play they were facing. With a final score of 6-3 and 6-4, Uri Botello and Concepción confirmed that they continue to grow as a couple and added an important title to their record.
