¡Agustin Tapia and Arturo Coello are crowned as the new champions! With his impeccable performance in the WPT Vigo Open 2023, they managed to add their seventh consecutive title and snatched the coveted number one position of the ranking World Padel Tour to Juan Lebrón and Alejandro Galán. The exciting showdown in the final concluded after three intense sets, with a score of 6-3, 6-7(4), 7-6(5).

After a brilliant season, Agustin Tapia and Arturo Coello They have left an indelible mark on the world of paddle tennis. With an impressive record of thirty-two victories and seven consecutive titles, they have reached the top of the World Padel Tour ranking. It was not an easy task, as they had to face Juan Lebrón and Alejandro Galán, who held number one for more than three years. However, Tapia and Coello overcame all adversities and rose as the new undisputed leaders of world padel.

The match was simply spectacular, a real match. Arturo Coello and Agustín Tapia dominated from the beginning and they went ahead with a resounding 3-0 score. As Lebrón began to find his rhythm, the game evened out, but it wasn't enough to even the score. Tapia and Coello took an important step towards victory by gaining an advantage of 6-3.

In the second half of the second set, with the score level, Tapia and Coello went one step further by achieving a very important break at the golden point of game seven. With the match totally close, a brilliant play by Agustín Tapia brought the number two couple closer to the title. They even got to have a 5-4 in their favor and service to close the final, but the number ones held on to the game and tied the score 5-5. It was a delicate moment for Tapia and Coello, while Lebrón and Galán grew and forced a thrilling tiebreaker in the third set, which they ultimately won 7-6(4).

The number two players not only managed to even the score, but also got another break in the eighth game, standing with a 5-3 advantage and service to close the tournament. The last games were a real madness. After suffering a break, Tapia and Coello had three more chances to take the title on serve, but once again Lebrón and Galán saved them. In the next game, the roles were reversed and the number one players did not miss the opportunity, going to 6-5 and serve to win the tournament. However, Tapia and Coello did not give up and forced a tiebreaker.

It could not have been otherwise. Such an intense match could only be resolved in a thrilling third-set tiebreaker. At stake was the title and the number one position in the ranking. Who would be the winner? After coming back from 2-4 down, Agustín Tapia and Arturo Coello closed the set with a 7-6(5), becoming the youngest couple to reach first place in the World Padel Tour ranking.
