After consolidating as one of the reference brands among Spanish fans, and increasingly present in different markets both European and the rest of the world, the prestigious signature of the star is preparing to make its foray into Japan.

Padel World Press .- In the hands of UI Sports, which will become its Official Distributor, it is already confirmed that StarVie will begin to market its rackets, textiles and accessories in a country where the passion for paddle tennis does not stop growing.

At this time, it should be noted that the almost 2.000 estimated practitioners can play this wonderful sport on the 13 courts that are spread throughout Japan. According to the latest studies carried out, it is estimated that in 2.020, when Tokyo will host the Olympic Games, the number of pitches will have risen to 200.

Very satisfied with the agreement reached, Enrique Vicente, Commercial Director of StarVie, pointed out: “For our firm it is a great advance to be able to be represented in Japan and to be known in Asian countries. We have verified that there is great interest in them for this sport and for the brand, since they have been well informed of what it is StarVie in the world of paddle tennis: a purely Spanish firm with its own manufacturing process and that stands out both for the very high quality of its products and for its R+D+I, an aspect that is highly valued in Japan. Through an exclusive distributor, UI Sports, we will try to grow at the rate that this sport is evolving there and, for this, we are closing agreements with both the Japanese Padel Association and sports clubs to develop Circuit and be the representative brand.

In that sense, we should remember that the May 20 will take place the first tournament that will score for the Japanese Ranking.

Albert Busquets, General Director of UI Sports, was present at the presentation of the brand; Koyi Nakatsuka, President of the Japanese Paddle Federation; and Tamai Katsuyoshi, Vice President of the Federation.

According to figures from the Japan Padel Association (JPA), some ten thousand people have already tried the paddle on occasion, and as a goal, they have set the challenge of reaching two hundred thousand in 2.020.
