A new installment of the tests of our colleague Hugo R. arrives. On this occasion, he will present us a paletero that caught his attention for many details that will tell us just below.
Padel World Press .- Hello, padel companions. Around here we continue in the search for the perfect elements to practice our favorite sport and, this time, we are going to continue with the Paleteros saga, which you already know that for us it is essential that it is a useful product and, of course If the aesthetics are perfect, much better.
Next we will present a pallet of the brand Spadda, specifically the model 'Spadda Team 2015' in yellow, we hope you find it interesting. We loved many of its details, so we started with its analysis.
We start with the product in hand.
Fresh from its packaging, the first thing that strikes us is its striking aesthetics. The colors used by the brand are black as a base, which permeates the entire paletero, and on which appear the details of the SPADDA brand: 'S' and 'TEAM' in yellow fluorine, which makes the eyes shine. All of them are combined in their sides with a gray aluminum, to give a technological touch, we assume that as a reference to the thermo compartment for the blades. In short, and clearly following the line of the Spadda brand, uses a perfect combination of dark colors with highlights in fluorine that impact at first sight to any interested buyer. Great.
Second, we look at its size, with measures of 60 cm long, by 35 cm high and 50 cm wide. It is a paletero with large measures certainly and with many useful compartments, a total of five.
At this point we will focus on the two pockets located on the sides of the pallet, inside which, in addition to the cavity to store many things, we do not find in one a mesh pocket with a zipper very useful to hold those items that we want have at hand and safe and, in the other, a department very much in the style of a work bag in which we will find room to keep pens card of visits, portfolio, etc ... With them, you get everything to be very at hand and very accessible at any time. Good details, which are not obligatory or totally necessary assumptions, always like because they allow to have on hand and perfectly located the everyday objects that we usually carry around ... We will avoid having them loose by the backpack with the risk of loss by distraction, by example, when taking out a garment or a towel or whatever inside. Those who have happened to you on some occasion will know what I'm talking about.
Said all the above, and although it is not included in the product catalog, there is also a small pocket with zipper on the top of one of the sides that adds to the previous ones, so there are no excuses with this pallet to have all the personal items as well as the small consumables of the paddle (grips, protectors, resins, wristbands, etc ...) safely, placed and perfectly located. Details of 10 in this regard.
We go to the part of the different forms of transport where we have found a point very much in their favor, especially in two of them.
It would be necessary to emphasize that for its transport it allows us three options: Well with a band shoulder strap type; well as a backpack with padded handles and a third is with a handle to carry a hand.
The first option is a simple long strap, which can also be disassembled so that if we do not use it we do not have to carry it hanging. Includes a pad in fluorine and with the inscription 'Spadda' to help our shoulder to support the weight of the pallet without suffering any damage. Everything simple but very useful.
The second option has been a huge success for us. As we have said, it is based on two handles to carry it on the back as a backpack. The two handles are well padded to avoid damage to the shoulder and the back is also padded to perfection to protect our back from the objects stored in the pallet. As if that were not enough, these handles are also completely removable in a simple way to remove them in case we do not use them. With the brand name in white on each of the handles and on the padded back that also offers us an aesthetic plus. In summary, a detail for us of those classified as 'super' and that is that once we use this option it is almost impossible not to feel very comfortable with this paletero on the back.
The last option also saves a detail that we highlight and it is a handle to take the pallet to one hand or to lift it off the ground or out of the car. In turn, keeps a top aesthetic to be one of the details in yellow fluorine with the name 'Spadda' in black, we also bring it with padding that will protect our hand from the weight of the pallet, being a very comfortable option. Of course, in these details they have taken the palm.
To finish this section there is a part that we can not say is negative because it is very difficult to have a solution from the manufacturer ... But to take care of the padded part of the back we must be very careful where and how we leave the pallet while we are playing, It is advisable to leave it standing before lying down when the ground is not in conditions due to weather or dirt. As we say, it is not a bad thing and maybe at the most you could have included some small plastic pins at the ends to make the legs function but it is likely that these would be annoying when we carry it on the back ... We can not have everything.
To finish, we have left the three central and main compartments of the paletero where we have seen some problems.
Each compartment has its function that is also indicated with drawings on the pallet. The three have a double zipper, each one less than the one for the pallet, which only has a zipper and this is where we are going to put the only 'but' to this magnificent product: the type of opening and the distribution of the same makes that the interior space is reduced but, above all, access to them is complicated with a very small mouth not letting see what is inside having to blindly look for what we want to take or put. It is true that with the closure / opening of double zipper in the form of 'U' makes the space more acceptable than others who present us with a closure of an inline zipper, but still remains scarce.
The compartment for dirty clothes / footwear comes with vents very timely to avoid odors
In the case of the mouth of the blades no complaint, if any, its location in the middle or in the middle of the three ... But the opening size is correct since to put or remove the shovels there is no problem and also It comes with the thermal function to have well preserved our weapons even if the environmental conditions are adverse. As a curiosity, this thermo department for the blades, if we look from inside one of the adjacent compartments, we appreciate that we can release it in its base so that it is not a fixed wall that separates or makes a wall with the rest of the cavities ... it means that we could, with a velcro system, take it off and we would get that from the textile department we could reach the department of dirty clothes / shoes and vice versa, being slightly communicated both spaces. Although this would be solved perfectly putting at one end the compartment for the blades and thus we would have another larger for the rest of things, although we understand that the brand has wanted to leave differentiated spaces for different uses.
In summary…
In terms of aesthetics, we can only be extremely satisfied with the product. The brand bets in most of its products for fluorine colors on a dark base and, in this case, we are faced with a paletero that attracts attention, beautiful and very sporty. Without a doubt, an absolute success. Beautiful.
As for dimensions, it is a paletero with good measures, with a large number of compartments and with a special attention to those that serve to support our everyday objects for the practice of paddle or as we carry for day to day. These details are very successful.
The seams and zippers are very well finished and reinforced, something that will undoubtedly be positive for its durability. With details of the brand 'Spadda' on all shooters, something that tells us a lot about the commitment to image and quality.
The pallet department with thermo material is frankly good and not all brands bring it. For us it is something basic and fully functional so good detail. It also has capacity for 2 leftovers and 3 a bit tight. The location is something that we would change, moving it to an extreme but it has a system so that the inner part of the other compartments is communicated.
The transport options is for us one of its strong points. The hand grip is very good and comfortable but the option of carrying it on your back is simply BRUTAL. Comfortable, safe, avoid injuries or back pain ... A total success since you do not even realize you're wearing it. Bravo for this option.
The 'but' we find is only the distribution of the main compartments, whose mouth and interior space is a bit fair.
In general we liked the paletero. A sports product, with great aesthetics, good details, functional and comfortable to transport from one place to another. The aesthetic is not something trivial since there were many who, when they saw it in our hands, asked us about it. In addition, the brand 'Spadda' has released a version in fluorine pink, which I do not know if it is intended for a female audience or not, we would love to have it in our hands because fluorine pink has long ceased to be exclusive.
