SANE Impronta III: A '3 in 1' model

Very good, fellow runners and lovers of this sport. Today we have a test different from the previous ones but at the same time very special. Let's talk about SANE an Argentine brand, very widespread in that country and that this year has opened its own factory in Spain ... On this occasion, we will talk about a model of shovel that can meet the needs of every player and whose information we will expand just below.

Padel World Press .- We have had the pleasure of finally proving some SANE brand shovels and we have not been able to release a better model: we refer to the IMPRONTA III.

SANE, giving a return to the market of shovels and as told to us by its CEO, has thought about the question of why take out a shovel for a specific type of player and not present the same model, with three different fabrications, which can provide each one different things in the game and that fit each type of player, whether male or female ... And boy did he have it!

Said the above, and as it can not be otherwise, we will make as a novelty a single article on 3 shovels but in reality they are the same model.

As you can see in the photo above, the IMPRONTA III model is actually 3 similar blades but, at the same time, very different… And not only because of the color. We start with the analysis.

Blue Shovel: HCT Manufactured the core with 'Compressed Hybrid' (Eva Soft and polyethylene).

Red Shovel (fluorine orange): POL Manufactured the core with 'Compressed Polyethylene'.

Green Shovel: ES Its core is made with 'EVA Soft'.

For many of us, amateur players, if we are not very involved in how a racket is manufactured, this data may tell us very little ... But we will see how in the detail of the product on the court each racket behaves in a different way and we provides a plus in one or other facets of the game.

We have tested the blades for a long time and we can say without risk to make mistakes that the durability is very high since they have hardly suffered even a loss in the paint ... As we always say, you should never give the point for lost (and never better said since in recent dates we have suffered an accident with our partner for carrying out what we promise). So we give them a ten in this aspect.

We start with the product in hand ...

With the product in hand we can say that the dimensions and aesthetics of the three blades is exactly the same. We can only distinguish them by the base color (red, blue and green) as well as by the inscription that comes on the right side of the face of the blade such as HCT, Compressed Polyethylene and EVA Soft.

Thus, each model has a white background color on the face in which the SANE logo is stamped in the chosen color. The frame and the name of the IMPRONTA III model at the top is also the chosen color, so everything as a whole shows a simple design, at the same time peculiar.

They may not have been too daring, since blue leaves a slightly simpler aesthetic, but it is no less true that the bright red color (or rather a fluorine orange) and the fluorine green color do give it a plus of eye-catching that will draw the attention of staff. Even in aesthetics, all players will find a shovel to their liking and that, reaching everyone, was one of the objectives of SANE.

The bridge has a very sporty aspect and, in addition, fulfills its function since none of the options of IMPRONTA III allows vibrations to pass to the fist, which surely also intervenes in the great durability of it.

The handle is of short size, which will give a lot of presence to the shape of the blade. In that sense, it should be noted that it is tear and provides a plus of agility in all three models. The original grip is small so, as is usual in all brands, we must add the necessary overgrip for each player.

The rope is the normal, single string and medium size. It will not bother us in the changes of hilt nor to those people who release the shovel in the auction ...

Where we are going to find differences, and that is something that we will notice on the track, refers to the place where we will have the sensation of weight:

Blue HCT Imprint: The weight is displaced to the fist. In grasping it, we will immediately feel the sensation that our fist will be the one with the control of the shovel.

Red imprint POL: The weight is shifted to the head, without this displacement being noticeable ... From it one could say that it will not be a 'bighead' to use.

Green Imprint ES: The weight is perfectly balanced in the center of the blade and, in addition, it has a lower total weight than the rest of its sisters, so we have surprising agility with it. It is to wield it and it is difficult to stop moving it ... A pleasure in this sense.

We will have very clear that we have in our hands and almost what different characteristic can each shovel offer us with respect to its twin sisters only with grasping it.

We take our IMPRONTAS and… On the track !!

As we have already said, this article will be novel because although we are giving our opinion on a single SANE model, IMPRONTA III is actually 3 blades with different manufacturing and weight ... That is why in each sector of the track we will talk about the three Pallas.

As always we started the test with the rally in the track background.

There is no doubt that they are sisters… They are triplets, identical on the outside but very different on the court.

With the blue HTC Imprint we have control of the huge ball in each hit. With a medium and dry touch, it will allow us to direct each impact wherever we want, since its sweet spot is great. The ball and power output is very similar and correct without any boast. It is a shovel to touch and touch without risk of losing the union with the blow.

With the red imprint POL we notice a slightly harder feel than the HTC and just as dry. Its weight on the head makes it a little more clumsy in the background but that is something that it counteracts with a little more power, which will invite us to hit the ball and not only accompany it, resulting in a dangerous ball speed for the opponent . Its sweet spot is also great, so we will have control over the ball although we will not feel it as much since, as we said before, its touch tends to be harder than the one presented by the HTC.

With the green stamp EN We noticed at once that it is the softest blade of all IMPRONTA III. It is a model with a sweet spot that occupies the entire face and with a very high ball output. As we said in the previous section, it is very light and, therefore, has an amazing agility that will surely amuse the very restless. She is a real player and very easy to use.

We went up a little to the network ... it's time to go to volley.

With the blue HTC Imprint we will have a very neutral shovel on this side of the track. It has control and with just putting the paddle moderately directed, the ball will come out with a very high precision. At the same time, with the average touch and with a perfect balance between the power and the exit of the ball, it will be very difficult for us to make mistakes with the volley and send the ball in an "uncontrolled" way to the glass or the fence. Not all are kindness. Your low balance will make it more difficult to manage on the net and, therefore, we must anticipate volleys before it is too late. The ball blocks in the net will be relatively easy to do as well as direct.

With the red imprint POL we begin to have the feeling that this shovel is dangerous ... The kind that bite the ball and throw it at high speed. It is clearly a power shovel, with a hard touch that, on the one hand, will give us a plus by crushing balls and taking them out like rays and, on the other, it will give us a little control so that it does not play against us. The high balance will help in the blows from top to bottom but we will have to be careful when they are below the line of the net ... However, it is a deadly shovel when we can remove the beast that is inside. In blocking the ball we will have to be attentive and accompany the ball a little if we do not want it to come out dead and leave us at the mercy of the rival. It demands a little more but we will adapt quickly.

With the green stamp EN yes we will have fun on this side of the track. Agility, agility and agility a very sibylline, fast, stealthy shovel that will appear on all sides with great ease. We are facing a weapon with which it will be difficult to hold back ... And that is important because, otherwise, his great ball output could be counterproductive for us. It is like a saber, so the armies will be extremely easy and the finishes can be removed without problems. Without a doubt, it is a racket suitable for all types of players, whatever their level.

And since we are up, touch the smash.

With the blue HTC Imprint we can not vary the discourse much since the correction is his way of life. It does not have an extra power but it does not leave us sold either. The medium and dry touch will help that this type of blows do not decay although it is true that the execution of the blow from the armed will not be very agile for the balance. Of course, if we adapt to it we will see how we will have a correct smash and arise purely from the strength of our arm or our technique. We will not receive extras but by removing the slow execution we will not suffer any loss in our particular conditions as a player.

With the red imprint POL It is where we will best find ourselves. If it happened to us in the volley, where we could get the beast that was inside, with the smash would not stay at all back. It is powerful although it is not about an Armada cannon either. With a dry and hard shot, will bring a little extra strength and power to our arm. In addition, its high balance will help the correct execution of the blow something that will also help the speed of impact and, therefore, the power with which the ball will bounce. This blade hits and sticks well.

With the green stamp EN we will have a little more problems than with its sisters as it is a soft model, with a high ball output and light weight ... Those are aspects that do not help smash although it is true that we have to be a bit more technical and forceful with this shovel in the net since its rubber will absorb part of the impact energy of the ball ... I have to confess that I have managed to bring it to me sometime and it is that, like everything in life, with technique we can replace any defect. On the contrary, for the execution by three I liked it a lot since we will have a very fast assembly and execution, which will make our effect like a sharp knife.

And we return to the back area, forced by the balloon, to make a wall outlet.

With the blue HTC Imprint and its excellent control we will be able to play the ball on either side of the court by performing a correct execution… It will be possible to speed up or slow down the ball making the opponent doubt.

With the red imprint POL we will want the ball to be well above us to crush it with enthusiasm and make its power make our output a real shot to the opposite field.

With the green stamp EN we will dance with our body, being able to hide our hitting until the last moment… Aided by his good touch and ball output, we will not be left half but we will simply be unpredictable.

With the blue HTC Imprint we will play and we will extract the juice that we have inside. A playable and obedient model that will be at our service fulfilling all our orders. The shovel will be a test for our level of play and an extension of us in this aspect. If it fails it will be because we will fail and the same could be said of the successes. The balloons will be equally effective.

With the red imprint POL we will have to use ourselves to squeeze the ball so that the power plays in our favor but, in return, we will have a plus of speed in those balls that due to their difficulty we are not able to apply the necessary force. That will mean that at any given moment the defense can turn into a low attack, which will knock the opponent back. On the other hand, you have to be very careful with balloons because it will not be a simple shovel for this blow. We will have to do everything on our part to carry out a correct execution and it is that a hard shovel like this one will need our help to carry out this blow.

With the green stamp EN defense will not be a problem. The output of the ball is spectacular and we will not tire of talking about his agility and the speed with which we will carry out the assembly of the shot ... We will have to accompany the ball on some occasion but the time we gain with his agility will be available for that and more.

In summary…

Of aesthetics, we give a middle note. It is not shocking nor does it have an aggressive presentation. It is a simple shovel with touches of color to make your presence not go unnoticed for other people. On the other hand its design is to have a high note, since its short handle and its sport bridge give it a presence to the face of the imposing shovel. It's all shovel and we like that.

The sound and the touch are dry in the three IMPRONTAS and for each one we will make a brief summary with its particular characteristics.

The HTC Blue Imprint It is a versatile model that knows how to be in every moment. With a low balance, your best aspect is ball control. On any side of the track it will behave perfectly and will be a tool of transmission between us and the ball, executing what we order at each moment. Characteristic control and correction with which we can only nickname 'La Educada'.

The red imprint POL It is a power shovel, with a high balance and a hard touch that will invite us to attack the ball at the slightest opportunity we have within our reach. His strong point is found at the back of the court, with volleys and smash being his best shots. A defect will be the balloons, with which it will be difficult to make, but that is a 'quality' that all aggressive blades have in common. Strength and toughness are its virtues and it will help us to be more dangerous, which is why we will define it as 'El Claw'.

The Green Imprint ES, For me, it would be like the little sister… She is agile, soft, soft, delicate but she learns at lightning speed. It is a 100% playable and fast racket, with a very good ball output, with which we will feel the impact of the ball at all times. We recommend it from a low level to a high level without the risk of making mistakes ... And it is that it is super easy to do all its characteristics that although they seem innocuous, once we extract their juice they become dangerous. That is why we will call her 'La Sibilina'.
