MATI-DIAZ

Padel World Press – Matías Díaz, known as the 'Warrior', was surprised with an event organized at the Rivapadel club, an initiative led by his wife Alexia, his family and his collaborator from the Warrior Fusion Sports representation agency, Víctor Pérez.

Upon his arrival, Mati was immersed in an atmosphere of support, with the warm reception of his brother Gonzalo 'Godo' Díaz, teammates and rivals such as Ale Galán or Juan Cruz Belluati, as well as his partner at the CEPAC Academy, Gastón 'the Cat' Malacalza, and other recognized figures such as Carlos Pozzoni, Severino Iezzi or Roberto Bourdet.

The Argentine player, nationalized Spanish, reviewed his career with emotional messages from prominent players such as Agustín Gómez Silingo, Fernando Belasteguín or Franco Stupaczuk, who also participated in the event. This event evoked various feelings for Matías, an extraordinary player who thanked everyone for his presence, exchanging hugs and handshakes. He felt deeply loved, receiving well-deserved recognition for his entire career, his constant dedication and his ever-present respect for everyone.

Although Mati did not stand out for spectacular points, he was recognized for his total commitment in each match, whether in training or in a final, demonstrating unwavering dedication. His farewell to the courts in 2023 included an impressive record with 14 titles in his native Argentina and 18 titles in Europe. Always a team player, Matías Díaz leaves an invaluable legacy, providing constant support to his teammates and himself in every game.

We thank Matías Díaz for the outstanding career he leaves behind and for having contributed so much to the world of paddle tennis. His retirement not only marks the end of a stage, but also the closing of a chapter full of passion and dedication towards this sport. Thanks, Mati!
