After winning the Reebok Sports Club La Finca Challenger at 2016, this campaign did not take long to 'inaugurate' their record and to prove that they can be fearsome rivals. In the great final of the test lusa defeated by a double 6-4 to Seba Nerone-Álex Ruiz.
Padel World Press .- The numerous fans that completely filled the facilities of the Club Indoor Padel Center enjoyed one of those vibrant duels, with many alternatives and that put a brilliant climax to a week full of magical moments and passion for the paddle.
The seeds 2 and 3 number of the tournament crossed their paths in the final meeting in which, as expected, were small details that ended up tilting the balance, in this case, to the side of Godo Diaz-Lucho Capra .
Before going into the final, the future champions had to leave Borja Yribarren-Guga Vázquez (6-2 and 6-3) on the way, Willy Lahoz-Maty Marina (6-4 and 6-1) and José Antonio García Diestro-Martín Sánchez Piñeiro (6-3, 3-6 and 7-6). Thus they arrived until the definitive shock, in which they had to see the faces with Seba Nerone-Álex Ruiz that had transmitted very good sensations during all the test.
It was expected an equal, exciting commitment, with many alternatives ... And that was what happened. In a very entertaining first set for the spectators, both pairs were grounded, they were gauging their strength and a break in service in favor of Godo and Lucho allowed them to get ahead on the scoreboard.
Things were very balanced in the second set, in which also a single break of difference gave the victory to Diaz-Capara by 6-4 and 6-4.
The second Challenger of the season more than fulfilled the expectations placed in this competition format in which, with the absence of the 20 best players in the WPT Ranking, opens the possibility of seeing in the final rounds a pair that, by potential and talent, they have everything to make the fans enjoy.
With no margin for rest, the World Paddle Tour Circuit is preparing for its next appointment… And the Previews of the Estrella Damm Barcelona Master are already underway, an appointment that will be played at the Real Club de Polo from May 27 to 30 of June.
