Padel World Press .- When you want to improve a particular blow, the best thing you can do is to see how the professional players do it. In that sense, I suggest looking for a  PRO that has a simple and effective movement, possible to imitate and, in the specific case of the backhand volley, who better than Bela? (Fernando Belasteguín).

The technical aspects that stand out from him are the following:

- Use continental grip to handle all the variants of the volley, being able to enter the ball by different sides to obtain variants in the trajectory of the blow and effects.

- Adopt a game posture with low center of gravity, with the body turned forward, the abdomen slightly pushed in, the head low and forward and tipped to have a good reaction.

- Seek a short preparation when receiving strong shipments, with the arm shrunk and the head of the upper blade, to control the ball and broadens the preparation a little more when it is in a dominant situation.

- Generates the chaining of the spleen in the movement, to jointly transmit the energy of the shoulder, elbow and wrist. Simultaneously coordinate the transfer of body weight from the back leg to the front leg.

- Look for a good approach to the ball to be placed at the exact distance. To do this, use the necessary adjustment steps.

- Anticipate the play looking to hit the ball in front of the body.

- Look for a good point of impact with the square shovel with respect to the ball (To do this, consider where you should hit the ball when playing the parallel or crossed strokes).

- Find the final balance, with the help of the left arm (in the right-handed) to balance the body and counteract the action of the right arm.

- The termination of the coup coincides with its tactical objective, feeling that it takes the ball to that place through the blow.

- Observe the opponent's shot, deducting the point of impact, the balance placement and the shooting habit, to know the possible direction of the opponent's shot. With this, observe if the ball will come parallel, crossed, to the center, strong, slow, low, high, to the body, overturned, angled or balloon.

- Always recover the correct position depending on the direction of the shipment, closing the shooting angle and looking for a correct position of waiting for the next shot.

I understand that many players who have started playing in their own way, when they are older, or who come from other sports, already have their own rooted movements and think it is too late to change the gesture of the blow.

To them, I would advise them to change their thinking, that they leave that zone of comfort and that they look for the expansion (growth), changing of gradual way the technique, maintaining the good thing and incorporating new technical gestures to improve the blows and to evolve in their game.
