Between the 13 and 14 days in November, the V Edition of a prestigious Amateur Circuit was decided in which the Andalusian representatives, especially those from Granada, became the main protagonists.

Padel World Press .- More than 3.000 players, a total of 11 tests and a 'final party' that was again exceeded ... The fifth season of the Land Rover Paddle Tour again proved that it is a different competition, in which all participants form a true family and in which unforgettable moments are always lived.

The Hotel TRYP Guadalmar de Málaga became the headquarters of a great event that, like every year, perfectly combined the sporting character with the undeniable social component implicit in this sport.

Throughout Friday, the 120 players played the first matches of the Masters on the slopes of the Municipal Sports Center of Torremolinos, thanks to the collaboration of local council that gave its facilities for the dispute of the tournament ... In turn, there was also the arrival of the 30 invited by the organization, among which were three of the sport's great professionals: Carolina Navarro, Cecilia Reiter and Gonzalo Rubio.

On Saturday morning both the semifinals and the finals were played, in which the Granada duos made their potential clear and took the title in four of the five categories that were played.

In that sense, it should be noted that in 2ª Men's Category the winners were the Granada-born Carlos Oms-Miguel García Rivero, who beat the Jerez-born Alfonso Cristobal-Julio Pulido.

On the other hand, in 2ª Feminine Category, the title went to Elena de la Torre-Leticia García, who beat Mamen Aranda-Mercedes Perel.

In 3ª Masculina were Nino Cruz-Fran Alcázar, also from Granada, those who won in the decisive clash with Francisco Rodríguez-Rafael Baldrés (Jerez) while, in 3ª Femenina, the grenadines Tony Salazar-Clara Muñoz defeated Laura Jiménez-Clara Change

Finally, in the Land Rover Special Category, the title was also taken by Rafa Leiva-Juanjo Ortega from Granada, who defeated the Rubén García-Raúl Martínez from Alicante.

The other 'face' of the Masters Finals

If there is something that makes this Circuit special and different, it is its proximity to the participants, it is its most social aspect. In the survey conducted throughout this 2015 among all the participants it was very clear that Land Rover Pádel Tour is fun, friendship, companionship ... And that is the spirit that the green oval brand pursues.

For that reason, much of the agenda of the Masters pointed to the union between players. For this, on Friday night there was a Welcome Gala that became a 'SuperHeroes' party. All met and the most original costumes had their prize.

On Saturday at noon, the VIP guests were participants of a 'Master Chef' in the modern facilities of the José Carlos García restaurant, located on Muelle Uno in the port of Málaga ... Its owner and holder of a Michelin Star entertained the guests with a lunch that they themselves 'plated' under their indications. The food was attended by Leire Martínez, vocalist of the La Oreja de Van Gogh group.

In the evening the Final Gala took place, with trophies, prizes and important raffles for gifts from the sponsors. The event was held in the halls of the Hotel TRYP Guadalmar.

The emotional note was the farewell of Carolina Navarro and Cecilia Reiter, who after four years as members of Team Land Rover, ended their sponsorship contract with the firm.

Enrique Alegre, CEO of WEKAP, organizer of the Circuit, thanked the sponsors and collaborating companies for their support, especially the representatives of the Land Rover Dealer Network, whom he described as the "true architects of the success of this circuit" .

Finally, he had words of thanks to all participants in this fifth edition of the Land Rover Pádel Tour and invited us to remain very attentive in the face of the news that is being prepared for 2016.
