One of the great magicians in the history of Spanish paddle and a young man with a talent that continues to grow season after season have conquered the fifth Challenger of the season after defeating José Antonio García Diestro-Martín Sánchez Piñeiro by 6-0 and 7 -5.
Padel World Press .- After completing a brilliant week in Catalan lands, two great couples prepared to measure their strength in a match for the title that promised to be exciting ... And, of course, the fans who gathered at the facilities of the Clark Paddle Club were able to Enjoy a duel full of emotion, which had two very different sets.
In the first of them, Lahoz-Lijó asserted their role of seed number 4 and, in just 22 minutes, they endorsed their rivals a forceful partial of 6-0 ... Very solid, with a seamless paddle, they did not raise the foot off the gas and took the lead on the scoreboard.
You might think that this hard blow could have made a dent in the pupils of Marcela Ferrari but it was not like that. García Diestro-Sánchez Piñeiro knew they needed to hit the table and bring out the best hits of their respective repertoires to stay 'alive' in the grand final.
In the second set, the Extremaduran and Galician felt more comfortable inside the track, began to unleash their 'blessed madness' and had their options to level the contest. Although they made a break in the ninth game, Willy and Pablo reacted immediately and returned the service break just below.
With the swords raised, the 'favorites' added three consecutive games with which they went up to the electronic final 6-0 and 7-5, which allowed them to win their first title as teammates ... Lahoz won a tournament again after the two victories that he obtained with Bela in 2015 (San Fernando and La Palma) while Lijó debuted his record in the Professional Circuit
The fifth Challenger of this season fully met the expectations placed in this competition format in which, with the absence of 20 best players in the WPT Ranking, opens the possibility of seeing in the final rounds a pair that, for potential and talent, they have everything to make the fans enjoy.
After a short break, the World Paddle Tour Circuit is preparing for its next appointment ... And it is that within a week will start the Gran Canaria European Sports Island 2017 Open, an appointment to be played at the Gran Canaria Padel Club.
