Only a few days are missing. From the 13 to the 18 in November, on the slopes of the Club de Ténis de Estoril (Cascais, Portugal), the XIth Edition of the European Paddle Championship will be held. The Spanish National Team will be the big favorite in both the Men's Category and the Women's Category.
Padel World Press .- It will be one of the great international paddle parties. The best national teams of the Old Continent will measure their strength in a vibrant competition, which will be full of surprises, very close matches and that good atmosphere for which this type of event is always characterized, in which players from different countries they perform a unique and very special 'coexistence'.
As they pointed out from the Spanish Federation of Paddle through its official website: “The Organizing Committee formed by the Portuguese Padel Federação, Smash Padel and the FIP are pleased to celebrate the eleventh edition of an event that will have the participation of 15 National Teams in the team competition and 16 representations of countries in the modality of National Couples ”.
In that sense, the 15 national squads that will compete in the XI European Paddle Championship will:
Germany, Austria, Belgium, Spain, Finland, France, Great Britain, Holland, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Principality of Monaco, Czech Republic, Sweden and Switzerland.
In turn, the Tournament for National Couples, which will start on Monday 13 in November, will have representations of players from those same 15 countries plus the participation of a Norwegian duo.
El XI European Championship by Selections will start on Tuesday, the 14th. The competition system will consist of a first Round Robin phase (15 teams divided into 3 groups of 4 plus 1 group of 3 teams each), which will be followed by a second draw phase, with exit to quarterfinals of the first two of each group. They will be in charge of contesting the positions from 1 to 8. The third and fourth of each group will be measured to decide the positions of 9th to 16th.
