3 Exercises to train with your partner by Manu Martín

Padel World Press - Manu Martín, with the help of David Fernandez, teaches us on his channel "Improve your padel", 3 exercises to train with your partner, warm up and on many occasions to "Clean blows".

What does it mean to clean bumps? Cleaning goals is a euphemism that is used in paddle tennis when the player comes from a competition with a slightly shrunken arm Because, like everyone else, they have their weak points and these exercises, which we will discuss below, will help you put them in order.

short rally

The first exercise they teach us is the short rally, which means this, very easy. The two players will be behind the service line and will rally smoothly without passing the ball from that same service line. This exercise will be done to start the warm-up and will help to control the blows well.

When you have mastered this exercise in 10/11 strokes, you can vary one by continuing to shoot short shots and your partner will do it long, behind the service line. Later, when the player who is being shot long has it under control, he will shoot long at his partner.

To finish this exercise the two players of the pair will switch to hitting all the balls long. In this way the rally exercise would end.

Background rally against net

The exercise that follows is a sequence with the aim of performing it as many times as possible completely. Very important when playing against an opponent who shoots very well, in this way it can be fixed as many times as necessary before throwing the balloon.

How is this exercise done? The player doing the work must return the blows to his partner in this way: 1 ball from below followed by 1 from above, 2 balls from below followed by 1 ball from above and finally, 3 balls from below and one from above. When this player has finished, the partner must do the same job.

Rally with transitions

One of the most complicated actions to carry out in a match are the transitions or what is the same, winning or losing the net, for example when they throw a balloon at you and you play the wall outlet.

In this way, the player doing the work will respond to the first shot with a volley to fix it on the net, then a lob will be thrown at him and he will respond with that wall output. When you have it under control, you can put in some variant such as the small ones or another blow.

But the best thing is that you see the video of Manu Martín So that you understand it better and be able to practice it perfectly:
