Hurry your last days. This exciting 2015 comes to an end and, as far as the Men's Category of the World Paddle Tour Circuit is concerned, it should be noted that there has been a campaign full of excitement and spectacle, in which 16 tournaments have been played and in the that up to 9 players have tasted the honeys of triumph.

Padel World Press .- As the WPT comrades recalled, if there were to be a classification regarding the conquest of titles, this would be as follows: Fernando Belasteguín (13), Pablo Lima (11), Guillermo Lahoz (2), Paquito Navarro ( 1), Matías Díaz (1), Sanyo Gutiérrez (1), Juani Mieres (1), Juan Martín Díaz (1) and Maxi Sánchez (1).

But that would only mean a small part of all the things that could be told about a season that, as is usual at the beginning of the calendar, had a crazy start ... As expected, the expectation was maximum from the first moment and that after the reign of 1 years of Juan Martín Díaz and Fernando Belasteguín, both began in 2015 a new stage separately. Who would take the 1 number? The talent of Juan or the effectiveness of Bela?

Along with this fact, the campaign presented many more attractions and what happened in the opening round surprised everyone ... In the Estrella Damm Barcelona Masters, Juan Martín Díaz-Juani Mieres fell in front of Miguel Lamperti-Tito Allemandi in the quarter round while that fatality returned to persecute Pablo Lima. In the semifinals, against the also debutantes Paquito Navarro-Matías Díaz, a shoulder injury forced the Brazilian's withdrawal.

In Catalan lands also highlighted the audacity of David Gutiérrez-Lucho Capra, who were eliminating the 'Masters' Sanyo Gutiérrez-Maxi Sánchez, the 'Mythical' Gaby Reca-Seba Nerone and Lamperti-Allemandi. With firm step they were planted in a final in which they fell against Navarro-Díaz, the first champions of the year.

The magic union by two tournaments of Belasteguín-Lahoz

In San Fernando, the surprises were not minor. To begin, and before the loss of his partner, Bela decided to unite his way in a circumstantial way to Willy Lahoz ... And very few could imagine what was going to happen. The one from Pehuajó knew how to motivate one of the best players in the history of the Spanish paddle, who recovered the joy, the good sensations and the magic of those hits only within reach of the geniuses. They surpassed Paquito Navarro-Matías Díaz in the grand final and shortly after, in La Palma, they added their second consecutive title. Thanks to these results, Lahoz returned to be among the first positions in the Ranking.

With Pablo Lima recovered, Bela returned with the partner with whom he had decided to face his new sports project. In the first international meeting of the campaign, in the Argentine Patagonia, all eyes were on the performance of Pablo Lima. The Brazilian knew how to shake off the pressure doing what he does best: playing padel. In a great match, they defeated Sanyo Gutiérrez-Maxi Sánchez and won their first title together, the first of a spectacular streak ... The emotional embrace of Bela and Lima was more than just the celebration of a triumph and became one of the images of the season.

Up to 10 partner changes

At the Estrella Damm Valladolid Open, many of the top seeds were eliminated in the first rounds… These setbacks marked the arrival of a very important turning point. Valladolid fans witnessed unprecedented quarterfinals and semifinals, with a flavor of youth: Matías Marina-Álex Ruiz, Chico Gomes-Pablo Lijó or Ernesto Moreno-Javi Limones will never forget this test. Nor will the public who was able to witness a heart attack final to three sets, in which the world numbers 1 had to work hard to defeat Paquito Navarro-Matías Díaz.

This led to the real revolution between the seeds. For the first time there were up to ten changes of couple that altered, and in what way, the WPT Ranking. The most outstanding were Juan Martín Díaz- Maxi Sánchez, Juani Mieres-Sanyo Gutiérres, Maxi Grabiel-Ramiro Moyano, Cristian Gutiérrez-Agustín Gómez Silingo, Willy Lahoz-Aday Santana and Jordi Muñoz-Fede Quiles. All premiered in Palma de Mallorca with more than good feelings, like Jordi and Fede, who shined with their good and premature coupling.

In the Balearic tournament there was, finally, the party 'of the morbid' ... For the first time, former teammates Juan Martín Díaz and Fernando Belasteguín had to face each other. It was a collision with less epic than the fans would have wished since Bela-Lima imposed themselves with authority and added their third title together. It would not be the only time that Juan and Bela saw each other but the result was always the same: triumph of the 1 numbers that, although they saw how some couples put them in trouble, in the end they ended up imposing their law.

In the Estrella Damm Madrid Open, and due to the sick leave of Fernando Belasteguín, Juani Mieres-Sanyo Gutiérrez premiered his record of victory in the final commitment to Paquito Navarro-Matías Díaz.

A final stretch full of strong emotions

No other duo managed to lift a trophy until the Masters Finals. Of course, the last appointment of the campaign, the Estrella Damm Valencia Masters was exciting ... In the same clashes were seen to frame, of those who do hobby ... He highlighted the one that measured the outside of Cristian Gutiérrez-Agustín Gómez Silingo against the great dominators of the Circuit.

Also dazzled Miguel Lamperti-Tito Allemandi who reached their first final. However, they could not beat some leaders who won their eleventh consecutive title in the Turia capital.

And that's how the Master Finals was reached !! The Masters Tournament had the flavor of nostalgia, the kind that goodbyes produce. Like the 'Mythicos' Gaby Reca-Seba Nerone. After a total of twelve years together, both decided to separate and received a tribute that brought tears to the tears of those present in Pavilion 9 of IFEMA. There were more goodbyes, because next year we will see multiple changes again.

Juani Mieres and Sanyo Gutiérrez said goodbye, achieving something that many couples had tried throughout the year: ending the undefeated Belasteguín-Lima. They did not play the pass to the semifinals but they did put the first 'spot' on the immaculate palmarés of the 1 number, showing that they are human and, of course, they can lose.

What nobody expected was what happened on Saturday, in the semifinals. Bad fortune shook Pablo Lima again. In his fight to avoid losing the ball from the back of the track, the Porto Alegre player injured his radio and left us with the sad image of abandonment. Juan Martín Díaz and Maxi Sánchez qualified for the final.

It should be noted that, without a doubt, was the double revelation of the Final Master. Maxi Grabiel-Ramiro Moyano. Young Ramiro was reaching his first final in his professional career alongside his cousin, friend and colleague Maxi ... And their pulse did not tremble. They planted a serious battle against Juan and Maxi who, due to small details, were proclaimed the 2015 Masters in their last tournament as a couple. Maxi Sánchez has three consecutive teacher titles.

Thus ended this exciting season that despite the undisputed hegemony in the ranking of Belasteguín-Lima, has left us chapters worthy of the best story ever told, the WPT Circuit. Claw, delivery, fight and the best paddle that will return to the tracks in March of 2016.

A new year that, as they assured from World Paddle Tour, promises strong emotions.

The show does not stop and we can only say ... Enjoy the Game !!!
