As every year, the Professional Circuit has approved a series of changes in its Technical Regulations as well as in its Procedures and Protocols. Among them, it is striking that, for the first time, the Final Masters will be a scoring test.
Padel World Press .- - World Paddle Tour has revealed what will be the main novelties that can be seen in their tournaments when the new season begins... In addition to a series of changes in tournament scoring, the protocols for preparing the tables will also be modified in case of casualties during a test .
What will the new medical times be like? Will there be changes regarding clothing? What will be the new 'Bonuses'? As pointed out by the WPT when talking about the clothing of the players, it was highlighted that the use of similar colors will be recommended from the quarterfinals... Something that will become mandatory from 2018.
With regard to participation in tournaments, the limitation of participation from the first 160 players in the Ranking will be eliminated, so any player who has WPT points will be able to participate in the different tests. The second criterion will continue to be the Ranking of the Federations and the limit of the number of registered couples will be maintained (96 in the Open and Challenger and 100 in the Masters).
Another of the main novelties that this 2017 will present will be the award of points in the Masters Finals, for the first time in the history of this competition. That way:
– Final Masters: It will be scoring.
– Master Tournaments: Points are increased.
–Challenger: They are modified and balanced with respect to the rest of the categories.
