In the struggle to enter the quarterfinals, they crossed paths with the future runners-up of the event: Matías Díaz-Maxi Sánchez. Despite his defeat by 6-3 and 6-4, both the 'Colossus' of Duruss and the great Canarian player made it very clear that this year they will be one of those 'uncomfortable' pairs for any rival.
