Padel World Press .- The Santander Open had a women's final that, although it was vibrant, was resolved in an unexpected way. Face to face would be two pairs that had performed at a high level since they began their journey in this tournament ... But, in a demonstration of their growth as players and their great potential for the future, Delfi and Tamara hit the table and defeated the brand new champions of the Vigo Open.
With a frenetic pace, with a lot of aggressiveness in their actions and very well planted on the track, Brea - Icardo gave a true master lesson in paddle tennis and went ahead on the scoreboard but, despite this, his rivals decided that they were not going to lower their arms.
In a second set of heart attack, Llaguno and Riera wanted to become strong in the network but they did not succeed... Their rivals did not feel the pressure of being in their first final of a WPT tournament and they knew how to take advantage of their opportunities to close the victory 6-1, 7-5.
Delfi Brea - Tamara Icardo made history by becoming the first couple outside the top eight to win a Professional Circuit event.
