Padel World Press .- As during the previous days, the Central Court that has been enabled in the heart of the Plaza Mayor of Valladolid dressed in their finery to host the dispute of a duel between two couples who had completed a brilliant tournament. On one side of the court, Mapi and Majo Sánchez Alayeto (who wanted to prolong their good moment after having won their first title of the year in Jaén); of the other, Lucia Sainz and Gemma Triay, They wanted to add their third big victory of the campaign and, with that, cut the difference that still separates them from the 1 number of the classification.

The swords were in everything high. It was expected the dispute of a commitment full of equality and emotion and, of course, the four contestants gave themselves with all their might, offered the best blows of their repertoires and, thanks to it, delighted the spectators with a vibrant encounter, full of alternatives and where anything could happen.

In the first set, Mapi and Majo Sánchez Alayeto achieved a break in the early stages but their rivals managed to level the situation. With 3-3, Mapi suffered some discomfort in the thigh that made him receive the assistance of the physios of WPT. Lucia Sainz-Gemma Triay did not lift the foot of the accelerator and, with a new break, put themselves ahead in the score (6-4).

A fight without quarter in Valladolid

In the second, the members of the StarVie Team they showed that they are those players who never give a match for lost and, they gave a true lesson of faith and confidence in their possibilities. After winning the serve of their opponents in the fifth game, their combative and non-conformist character made them level the contest (6-4 and 4-6).

With everything to be decided, the third and final sleeve was defined by small details… And the players measured all their strokes to the maximum since they knew that any mistake could be final. The turning point came in the seventh game, in which Lucía Sainz - Gemma Triay added the break that allowed them to achieve the final 6-4, 4-6 and 6-3, with which they won their third title this season. and with which they took a new step to climb to the top of the Padel World Ranking.

The next round of the Women's Circuit will be the Melilla Challenger, which will be played from the 25 from June to the 01 in July both in the Padel Center Ciudad de Melilla and in the Javier Imbroda Ortiz Pavilion.
