There were no surprises. The eight best couples in the ranking took a step forward and will be in the next round of the CajaSur Trophy - Diputación de Córdoba. As they say in these lands, there will be a 'luxury poster' at the Sierra Morena Club.

Padel World Press .- The fans from Cordoba were eager to see the debut of the most outstanding couples in the Women's Ranking and, of course, it could only be said that the wait was worth it. The big favorites fulfilled the forecasts and won comfortable victories.

To begin, the Majo and Mapi Sánchez Alayeto twins doubled by a double 6-2 to Lorena Barbero-Andrea Jareño and cross their path with Nela Brito-Lorena Alonso, who won by 7-5 and 7-5 to Ana Laura Grandes and Vanessa Alonso.

Alejandra Salazar and Marta Marrero, number 2 in the Ranking and brand-new Absolute Spanish Champions, had no problem to beat Sandra Hernández-Ana Catarina Nogueira 6-1 and 6-2. Once again, they will have to face Cata Tenorio-Victoria Iglesias, who benefited from the abandonment due to injury of Clara Siverio-Nuria Rovira when just one game had been played.

Those who seem to have returned 'to stop' are Carolina Navarro and Cecilia Reiter who, with firm and decisive step, endorsed a forceful 6-0 and 6-2 to Ana Fernández de Osso-Teresa Navarro. His next rivals will be Paula Eyheraguibel-Gemma Triay, who won by 6-1 and 6-2 to Sara Marcos-Sara Pujals.

The other great clash of the quarter-round will be the one that will face Marta Ortega-Lucía Sainz with Patty Llaguno-Eli Amatriain. The former eliminated by a tight 6-4 and 7-5 Alba Galán-Mari Carmen Villaba while the latter had fewer complications before Marta Talaván-Nuria Rodríguez (6-0 and 6-1).

On Thursday, May 21, the name of the semifinalists of this exciting event will be known. The matches will start at 09: 30 hours.

The show does not stop at the Central Court of the Sierra Morena Club and we can only say ... Enjoy the Game !!!
