Padel World Press - It is suspended. The Spanish Federation of Paddle (FEP) has officially communicated the suspension of Spanish Championship of Absolute Autonomous Selections of this 2020.

And it is that given the current circumstances from the highest federative body they have had to make the decision and have communicated it through a brief statement on their official website.

A date that was scheduled to be held from October 2 to 4 in Carballo, A Coruña, but which is left out of the calendar given the current circumstances caused by the health pandemic.

This is the statement published by the FEP on its website:

«Having studied the current circumstances and the majority opinions of the different territorial federations, we consider it more convenient NOT to celebrate in 2020 the Spanish Championship of Absolute Autonomous Selections.

At all times we have defended that we are not a "high risk" sport and time has proved us right; We have shown that the responsible practice of paddle tennis does not have the risk that they attributed to us; Therefore, it is time to continue being prudent and defend the work that has been done by federations, paddle tennis schools, clubs and individuals.

Therefore, and with great regret for having to adopt this decision, we consider that the best option is to proceed with the suspension of the Spanish Championship of Absolute Autonomous Selections, hoping that everything will soon return to normal. "
