From the mark of the star have made official a statement in which they explain their version of events in the incident that left the Mapine Twins and Majo Sanchez Alayeto out of the semifinals of the Tournament for Pairs of the XIII World Paddle Championship. We show you in this news.

Padel World Press .- Then we leave you with the Official Statement issued on the night of18 November by the StarVie team:

"In the face of the controversy caused by the disqualification of the players StarVie Majo and Mapi Sanchez Alayeto at the Lisbon World Cup 2016 in the Modality for Pairs, we showed our deep disagreement with this disqualification and with the performance of both the Spanish Paddle Federation (FEP) as of the International Paddle Federation (FIP).

The disqualification of the players StarVie Majo and Mapi Sanchez Alayeto has gone beyond what is socially, legally and sportingly permissible and someone must answer for it.

In our sport there has been a clear case of arbitrariness and reprehensible action from all aspects on the part of the FEP and FIP.

They have been disqualified for not wearing the clothing required by the FEP in the Modality of Couples, not Selections.

We understand that under the Technical Regulations of the World Championships (FIP) in the Modality for Couples the players can play dressed in the clothes of their Brand and the rest of the sponsors (it is observed during the first days of the World Cup that the players of the rest of the countries they play freely with the equipment of their brands, following the technical regulations of the FIP World Championships (January / 2016) according to art.II.11.8 and II.11.9).

Next we relate the facts chronologically:

- The players start the competition in pairs with the clothing of the Spanish National Team. Since Tuesday the FEP has been demanding the regulation, standard or private contract that supports why a professional player with a current StarVie contract has to wear another sports brand a World Cup for Couples, not the one for teams (the players have played the Team Mode with the FEP kit).

- From the Brand, and not receiving a response from the FEP, the players are informed that they must wear clothing from the Brand in the Couples Tournament in the next match (semifinals).

- On Thursday night, the players are brought together by the Technical and Vocal Director of the FEP and advised of the situation and the implications.

- On the same Thursday, at twelve thirty at night Spanish time, the president of the FEP made contact for the first time and by telephone with the General Director of StarVie. The call is not answered and he stays to speak first thing on Friday.

- The president of the FEP calls on Friday at 09:30 am trying to explain the situation; he is ordered to send the regulations.

- One hour before the semifinals (11:00 Spanish time), the document 'Spanish Selection Guidelines for Players' is sent from the FEP to the Brand, a document that the Brand was not aware of until then and is not authorized or endorsed by the Brands.

- The players show up to play the semifinals with StarVie equipment and a member of the FEP, together with the referee and the coach, takes them from the court to the changing room. Later, the players return to the court and the referee informs them that they cannot play, without justifying them which regulations they are not complying with, reflecting in the minutes a 6-0 and 6-0 without having played the game.

- We do not know on what the referee bases the disqualification of our players and why he complies with the demands of the FEP when the FIP regulations do not reflect it (art.II.11.8 and II.11.9).

Art II.11.8: Players must act correctly equipped, being the Chair Umpire or Chief Referee responsible for determining this end. In team competitions, it is mandatory that players wear the same dress.

Art II.11.9: The players can use the footwear and shovels that they wish, as long as they are regulation, also with the clothes, with the exception for the competitions by equipment mentioned in the article II.11.8.

- In neither of the two articles is it mandatory to play the modality in pairs with the FEP clothing.

In the face of these serious events StarVie expresses its full support to its players and is at your disposal to undertake as many legal actions as possible against those responsible for this intolerable action, which has ruined all the effort and illusions of these two great people and players .

Sincerely, StarVie Management ”.
