Padel World Press .- How important it is in the padel to provide the students with as many tools and technical resources as possible so they can face each and every one of the different situations that the game is requesting, both the most affordable and the most demanding and difficult. Many of the mistakes that are made playing have to do with this that I have just commented.

Having these options, knowing them and knowing how to use them in the correct way is something that will make the difference in level between players ... One of them has to do with the management and handling of the different handles (ways to grab the shovel) that can be adopted around the fist depending on the various demands that we are requesting the game.

Knowledge and versatility in handling these different ways of picking up the shovel can provide a plus in order to be able to deal with certain types of returns... For example, in balls that reach the defense zone with a greater or lesser degree of difficulty (depending on speed, rebound height, amount of cut effect, etc ...) these can be managed, interpreted and solved in different ways depending on the handle that you choose and adopt for that purpose to make the hit.

It is true that the different strokes of the paddle are learned in its initial phase with a basic grip, which is the one that has an optimal and adequate transfer to perform the hit more efficiently and effectively, leaving clear the way to continue progressing in addition to protect our joint health (wrist and elbow).

But going further at the level of play, I consider that it implies handling well what I am telling you, the different handles ... And doing so will allow you to solve certain situations that may be compromised.

In the series of photos attached you can see how the players resolve the return of the ball using a handgrip on the opposite side, that is, those that are usually used to hit the right side are now chosen to make refunds on the wrong side, and vice versa.

With this use of the handles, the face of the paddle is positioned more comfortable and optimally to deal with the hit (especially if you want to go out with a balloon), more open as you can see, and so you can lift the ball more easily , without the need of 'doll' (a very specific use action in the paddle).

By handling several handles we will allow the wrist joint to work more efficiently and effectively, with which we will minimize the risk of injury.

It is therefore necessary to understand that you can (and must, if the game so requires) use the natural grip at one stroke to perform other different strokes.
