Padel World Press - Sanyo and Maxi They have returned. And in style. Those who were number one until just a week ago have managed to compensate with the title of Mexico Open, and also before Paquito Navarro and Juan Lebrón.

A victory of fundamental emotional value because in an irregular season the Argentines have ended up giving up the number one and, in many stages, have given a remote image of the one that led them to the top.

Now, far from the pressure of leading the throne of the World Padel Tour, they seem more competitive. Or at least it has been that way in the Mexico Open. Throughout the tournament they have been more plugged in, active, combative and safe and would end up putting the icing on a grand finale.

Because Paquito Navarro and Juan Lebrón would start better. The numbers one were to dominate the decisive section of the first race to be imposed in the tie-break and, even, they would touch the definition in the second set when they would also be put forward in sudden death.

But, right there, when they were with water around their neck, the best version of Sanyo and Maxi would come out. The Argentines were going to overcome a tie-break that seemed lost to generate doubts in their rivals, take the second set and force the definition.

That would be where they would make a difference. They saw Navarro and Lebron falter and went for the championship. And they would not fail. In a third dominating quarter, pair two signed their fifth championship of the year for a definitive 6-7, 7-6 and 6-2.
