He is one of the most spectacular professionals of the Circuit and, at the same time, one of those chosen few that can unbalance a game thanks to his talent. Great, decisive and brilliant, Sanyo does not stop surprising us with his spectacular blows and with those masterful actions with which he has put the spectators on his feet again and again.
Eager to start his third season with Maxi, look back and see that time has proved right, although at the time there were many doubts about the union of these two great friends, who had always dreamed of play together in the Professional Circuit.
In 2013, in the year of their debut, they started the campaign as 5 Couple of the Ranking and closed it as 4, with two titles in their locker and with the conquest of the Estrella Damm Masters Finals ... Already in 2014, they qualified for six finals, they won the Estrella Damm Málaga Open and went down in history after defeating Juan and Bela in the decisive duel of the Masters, in which the Kings put an end to their long and successful 13 adventure in front of the world paddle.

Everyone sees you as the favorites of this season ... Do you share the opinions?
It's true that people see it that way but I think we have many things to look for yet. We have to be more regular, achieve that high level that we reached in the Masters and keep it longer. Despite the separations, they are still very good, play with whom they play. I always say that Juan, Bela, Pablo and Juani are four phenomena. Now we have to be two more phenomena to be up to them.
Does the separation of Bela and Juan motivate? Is it now feasible to become an 1 number?
I would love to get to number one with Maxi. This is what we proposed since we knew that this was a three-year project. We have time to achieve the goal and we can not forget that the two previous campaigns have been positive, in which we have won titles and we have made finals. If I'm honest, I would have liked to be number 1 removing the throne to Juan and Bela ... But it is also true that I would like to be 1 number in any way. The motivation is always there.
Even so, you dethroned them in their last game ...
We had the whole set to lose and we turned it around in the last game. In the end, these things happen in this sport, in which anything can happen. We were lucky to play a good Masters, which is a tournament that I really like and we managed to make it our third consecutive final. The truth is that it never crossed my mind that it was Juan and Bela's last game because, if not, it would have been a lot of pressure for me.
World Padel Tour 2015 starts with the Estrella Damm Barcelona Master. It is true that you do not usually start at the top and that you have to go out with everything this season ... How do you face the beginning?
Only one year passed. People usually stay with the last year. The last season we did not start well but the media lost their memory and do not remember that the rest of the year we started strong. Last year there were changes, among them a coach, and they affected us a lot. We had quite low energies, now we have to try to copy what we did the first year. On the other hand I do not consider myself at all a player who starts badly, if it is called bad start losing against a couple like Lamperti and Grabiel ... It was a good game of them, we knew we could lose.
What are your feelings at the start of this new season?
We are very good. The relationship is perfect, we closed last year in the best way and the energy still lasts. We are training every day to catch the rhythm with which we finish, it is not easy to be two months standing and that complicates all the players. We are very well interpenetrated and very comfortable with our team. We are giving the 100%, if things do not come out at the beginning we did everything possible to get there but we will continue fighting and competing all season.
