The first tournament of this season will have the expected and desired semifinals ... The main favorites took forward their respective commitments and are already prepared to live a day in which the show, the equality and the great padel will be insured.

Padel World Press .- A vibrant afternoon was expected at the Palacio de los Deportes de Santander and, of course, things could not have started better ... Four of the best players in the world brought out the most outstanding resources of their respective repertoires and measured their strength in one of the brightest matches of the tournament so far.

It was a very contested 'battle', which lasted almost 130 minutes. After more than two hours on the track, after an intense and passionate exchange of punches, Matías Díaz-Maxi Sánchez qualified for the semifinal of the first tournament of the year after overtaking Fernando Poggi-Uri Botello (6-4, 4 -6 and 6-2). Become one of the 'sensations' of the Cantabrian test, the latter sold very expensive defeat but may in the third and final set a little accusation accumulated fatigue during this week.

Right after, Fernando Belasteguín and Pablo Lima did not fail although they did have to be used thoroughly in the second set of the match in which they faced Marcello Jardim-Juan Lebrón (6-2 and 7-6). In his second stage as team-mates, the Brazilian veteran and the young Cádiz player showed that this year they can give back a lot to talk about.

In the third match of the day, a passionate commitment, full of emotion and that kept the spectators in suspense, Miguel Lamperti-Maxi Grabiel were more successful in the decisive moments and defeated Aday Santana Chiqui Cepero by 6-1, 6- 7 and 7-5.

To finish, Paquito Navarro-Sanyo Gutiérrez decided not to lift the foot of the accelerator at any time and defeated a duo who will bid farewell to Cantabrian lands after having offered a great image: Adrián Blanco-Diego Ramos (double 6-3).

On Saturday, 01 in April, will be played semi-finals that promise to be exciting.
