Padel World Press .- Paddle tennis is a sport where the ball tends to bounce little. One of the strengths of the tactic of our sport is to seek, in most cases, shots in which the ball is 'dead', that is, the bounce of the ball barely reaches the opponent's knee. in such a way that it forces the opponent to play with a significant degree of flexion of the knees or legs.

What happens when instead of bending the legs we bend down by bending the back?

This is one of the several factors that can cause low back pain in paddle tennis. When we do this gesture, bending or bending our back to recover a low ball, instead of bending down with the knee bend, that is, bringing the thighs closer to the ground, we are
subjecting the back to a gesture and effort for which it is not designed, or moves away from
its function. This is when we hurt ourselves. This can produce what is commonly
known as low back pain, which is nothing more than a contracture-cramp of the
lumbar muscles (lower back) at a deep level, muscles that anchor
in the spine and gives it support and support. This repeated gesture that is not typical of the
back, produces a blockage in spinal mobility due to muscle stiffness, which
in turn it results in pain, sometimes even disabling.

How can it be prevented?

Obviously avoiding this gesture, and making a suitable movement. We should take care of this by training on the track. It is important to train the gestures correctly, and for this no one more indicated than your coach.

Nor would it hurt us to do the odd exercise to gain muscle in the
legs, for this another Nobody better than your physical trainer. This combination we
will allow you to do the correct gesture throughout the training / match without having to
turn to the back in order to enjoy paddle tennis as much as possible. This combination is
very good way to avoid injury. And if you've been unlucky enough to injure yourself, don't hesitate
not a minute, no one better for this than your osteopath or physiotherapist, to be able to
return as quickly as possible and with the best guarantees.

Remember, prevention is the best treatment.

Greetings and enjoy the paddle!
